Close enough
I had purchased a used telescope (Meade DS114 Autostar) and the gear drive was stripped horribly. This fits perfectly, but it is quite a bit longer than the one that came with the scope. I believe the model I have is a newer Bird Jones design with a short barrel and a corrector lens built in. I transffered the corrector lens and the scope does work, it is just overdriven. Sort of like having a 2X Barlow in place. But it does work. With an older long tube DS114AT this should work just fine. I could have also cut it shorter and used the corrector, but hey, it works, scope brought back from the dead!

It didn’t fit
The rack didn’t even come close to fitting the Pinion gear. It didn’t have a stop end to it so it just slid out out. Eye piece lens holder isn’t threaded so you can’t put a thumb screw in.I really wanted it to work. Im hopeful I can maybe shim it and it will connect with pinion.

Works well
My husband said this attached to his telescope easily and worked exactly like he wanted it to! Would recommend!

Product pictures are misleading
The product pictures start with the full set of focuser that made me thinking it is a full set. The picture should start with the actual parts with full set picture at the end.

Garbage
I have recieved this and the size was so far off the gear doesn't engage with teeth. Tried to have a new one sent out and it is the same.
