Birkenstock Gizeh Unisex Leather Sandals | Casual Sandals

I must be honest in that I have never found the original Birkenstock (Jesus) sandals super attractive...but people have always raved about their comfort. Even so - I couldn't bring myself to buy a pair because I just didn't think they were cute or feminine - and, the few times I had tried some on, I thought they were NOT comfortable and I had no idea what people were talking about. Well, fast forward to about two weeks ago when I was reading a travel blog post about travel capsule wardrobe items and the lady mentioned this style of sandal. She extolled their virtue of being incredibly comfortable, hardy, and feminine enough to wear with just about anything. She also explained how you need to wear your Birkenstock sandals for a few days so that the heat from your feet can mold and shape the foot bed exactly to your foot. Wait, what?! Light bulb!! After taking a long, hard look at sandals she posted, I thought the day had come to try, especially since they looked way cuter (to me) than the original sandals and - if they were versatile enough to go with shorts, skirts, dresses, and pants...then why not? I ordered them and they arrived quickly. The box they came in was crunched seven ways to hell (torn, missing pieces) but the sandals inside the remains of the poor box seemed unscathed. I especially liked the color, which was true to the online photo, and the buckle, which I adjusted to fit my foot. I have rather flat feet so at first, I found the foot bed to be hard and uncomfortable, but I persevered and kept them on...and then - before I knew it - they became incredibly comfortable...AND...they support my flat feet beautifully!! Now? I love everything about these sandals! I am a very (VERY) happy camper - and you will be, too! They are very well constructed and I imagine wearing these amazing shoes for a long, long time. :)

These are my favorite Birkenstock sandals. They are lightweight and have great arch support. They fit great. I normally wear a 8 1/2 and 38 cm is the better size.

I have worn these manydays now. And let me tell you: THEY ARE LIFE SAVERS! They do fit as expected, very hard sole asn shoe in general. I am very used to flip flops so I can say that the toe is a bit of an issue for the first year but by the end of the second day, I had zero issues at all (didn't have big ones to begin with, just felt hard, that's it) The sole really start acommadating your foot really fast and the feel of the leather suede is AMAZING, I don't have much of an arch so this shoe really bugged me from there the first two days but in the end it will be good for posture, feet, etc and after two days I really don't feel anything but support in everysingle inch of my foot. I used them a day after going to a club, they saved my hurting feet, I am so bumed I can't wear them everyday to work :(. So after having these for a few days, I did go a SIZE down. I am a solid 7 in sandals, pumps, flip flops, etc. and a soid 7.5 in tennis shows, I bought the 37 regular, they fit great, my toes have room in the front and my heel has room in the back, you really really need to try these on in a store or really know your feet to perfection, trust me go a size down. Soooo, once your feet get used to the footbed you will be in feet heaven, really really a great investment shoe wise. The color is a deep wine burgundy, wayyy darker than the image (BETTER, I love darker color just a pop od differente) So for me that was a big plus. I am beyond happy!!So: No toe issue, great fit, they run a size big (go down 1 size), great leather, great footbed,

These sandals last me years, the style is versatile so I use them for day time with jeans or shorts or night time with a summer dress. Size is true to fit for US sizes shoes. Color goes with most neutrals. The more they get worn in to the shape of your foot, the better the cushioning.

I love these Gizeh sandals for the elegant look and because I have bunions there is no rubbing on the afflicted toes. However, I am disappointed with the sole which is not rubber but plastic . This means I have to be more careful when walking on slick wet surfaces like my deck. It's a downgrade in the usually fabulous Birkenstock quality .

My old Birkenstocks lasted 12 years so it was finally time to get another pair. Now to break them in again! These look exactly like my old ones and they were a bit hard to find so I was excited to find these on Amazon.

These have saved my feet! I have heel spurs, knee problems, lower back...you know, the domino effect. Wear the right shoes and it will fix all the pain that radiates upward through your body. I have since bought a couple more colors and have not been disappointed in the style. Cute while being practical. My foot is normal width but I have a very short baby toe that always goes off the side of sandals, but these are perfect. I normally wear a 38/7.5, but in these I wear a 37.I am a research hound always looking for the shoe with the "right" support. I read all the reviews and go into stores to test the support. I know instantly when I put on the right shoe. My other favorites: Dansko, Mephisto, Earthies, Orthaheel, and the OrthoSleeve FS6 Compression Foot Sleeve. I even have a personalized orthotics made by a doctor, but prefer these Birkenstock or the OrthoSleeve over the orthotics.I am considered the family expert because I do so much research, but I always tell my family that it's not one shoe made for all, and every style within a brand can be different also. It's all subjective. My bother has for years sworn by Birkenstock, my sister for years has been Mephisto, and mine was Dansko. I now wear all 3 faithfully, but will choose Birkenstock over Mephisto.I must also tell you that years ago I couldn't wear the Birkenstock or Mephisto, The arch seemed to high. So be aware that your foot and needs change and know that you can rely on the reputation of a shoe that's been around forever.

Love my Birkenstocks. I tried dupes and the fo not compare. They were close in appearance but the wearability was certainly noticeably different. These shoes are classic. They are durable and once they conform to YOUR foot are irreplaceable! Well worth the investment. You can find a much cheaper brand but in the end your feet will pay the price! Just keep an eye on Amazon and the price will become affordable if you have the patience.

Der Schuh passt wie erwartet und sieht genau so aus wie auf den Bildern. Ich persönlich bin sehr begeistert von Birkenstocks. Die Qualität ist super, sie passen sehr gut, sind äußerst bequem und sehen gut aus .

Passt perfekt.Größenmäßig genau wie erwartet.Nicht größer oder kleiner als normal.Die schmale Passform ist super.Auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen.

Une tong qui fait la différence : possibilité de marcher longtemps avec sans douleur ni même entre les orteils !Je recommande vivement! Surtout avec de belles couleurs vives!Durée de vie dans notre famille : deux étés sans jardinage (ça craque la semelle quand on se met trop souvent accroupi)

Pensez à prendre ne taille en dessous à moins d'avoir les pieds exceptionnellement larges...
