Lovely book. So good as an introductions to Greek myths, I bought as a gift - twice.Informative, detailed and captivating. It's definitely a book for the collection.

Absolutely stunning book. The illustrations are incredible. The print, paper and binding are the highest quality. Lots of myths are present, not just the obvious ones.

Bought as a gift for a 12 year old girl who is interested in Greek Mythology. Recently she has done things on Greek mythology at school and it has sparked an interest.I think having a lovely book like this will make good bedtime reading to deepen her knowledge.Plus it’s a gorgeous book just to own and refer to every now and again.

Good book the children found it fascinating

This Usborne myths and legends collection brings classic stories of gods, heroes and monsters to life with lively retellings and colourful illustrations. It’s a lovely introduction to Greek myths (like the Trojan Horse, Perseus and the Minotaur) and includes helpful guides and background info that make it educational as well as fun. Some kids might find parts a bit text-heavy, but overall it’s an enjoyable read for mythology fans.

Absolutely superb. Purchased for a 9 years old child and it has become her favourite book.

I study the Greek Myths and have read the translations of Homer. This book, although designed for older children, explains the myths and legends very well and to be honest is far more user friendly than the epic poems. Of particular interest are the chapters on the Trojan War and the Odyssey which really do explain events very clearly. Greek philosophy shaped much of our modern thinking and in their (fallible) gods and heroes they worked hard to rationalise the world around them. I’ll take Athena as my patron goddess any day, sorry Zeus…

This is a wonderful resource for learning Greek myths for young and old alike.

finally..... an amazing greek myth book with beautiful illustrations, i wish i knew about this book when i started learning about greek mythology, it's easy, covers everything, captures your attention and imagination, i would definitely recommend... especially if you are just starting to learn about greek myth, if you're already a fan of greek mythology like me this is the perfect reference guide you need, i can easily go back to remember who's who
