I was a bit apprehensive spending so much on a manual grinder. Originally I had wanted an electric model but after hours of research I soon realised I would have to spend hundreds to get a good result. Only dosing for one or two people at a time I took a look at manual options.Initially I wanted a time more model but after reading up on this make decided this would give me the best quality for the price and I am not disappointed. The build is superb, being able to dial in externally is a great touch and the grind action is smooth. I was surprised how quickly and effortlessly it grinds through the beans, certainly not the mini work out I was expecting!The grinds them selves are very consistent and much better than my old electric grinder. A huge step up. I brew with a v60 so cannot comment is espresso but for v60 this grinder is superb. Great clarity in the cup and I can’t see it getting much better than this. Money well spent as it should last a seriously long time and it has stopped me lusting after super expensive electric models too 😊

Easy to set up. Easy to calibrate. Easy to use. Can fit 35gr of beans in the hopper in one go. Fast grinding.If you are in the market for a well built device, you can do far worse than just stop reading right now and getting this X-Pro.Previous experience was with the Hario Skerton, which I used for years after mod'ing it to stabilise the shaft and also allow unlimited settings. Doing 17gr beans would take 2m15s. Won't lie, was ok, but it was also a chore!The X-pro is a different beast. The first thing I noted is how well crafted, The tolerances are tight with no real play, but so smooth to operate. Now, over 2 months on, and over 100 grinds later (espresso, filter, cafetiere), its extraordinaire.Watching the reviews of the X-Pro, I was happy if it'd take just over a minute for an espresso grind. But no. At expresso grind settings (even the finer side setting 4) its a breeze compared to the hario. Without trying to sprint, usually, dark beans take 50s, lighter beans are harder and can take another 5s-10s more. You can even take it easy, so not to overheat the burrs and even that'd account for a mere 5-10s extra.For filter, its even faster, 35 seconds. For cafetiere, even larger grinds, to do 45gr I grind 35gr+10gr, and its fast, probably under.To load the beans, if doing it directly into the grinder can be annoying due to the spokes at the top of the hopper. Easier and probably makes more sense to weight beans in a small pot, I then cup one hand around the hopped and pour the beans into the grinder.As an aside on the pot, already have plenty of paraphernalia as DW says, and didn't see the need to buy a pot for weighing beans. I ended up using a small baby food cup+lid (120ml) I still had lying around with no particular purpose, which it does a fantastic job. I can weigh up to 45gr of beans with that and even transport them.Overall, I'm pretty happy.

Amazing manual grinder, that's built to last. The external adjustment is very convenient and easy to read.I use this 1Zpresso X-Pro primarily to grind for espresso coffee, which it does very consistently. With up to 30 settings(clicks) just for espresso out of a possible 300+, all the way up to french press, there aren't any electric espresso grinders under £450 that can touch it.

Great quality grind

I will keep this short:I bought this with the sole aim of grinding the beans for my aeropress as I already have a proper grinder for my expresso machine. As an aeropress bean ginder, the options are limitless. The steps available to fine tune the flavour is just too much. For me, I wouldn't be able to distinguish at such a fine tuning. Of course, YMMV. The included accessories are perfect for travelling as well. I disagree with the other reviewer that the magnet is weak. I think it's perfect and it's a lot quicker than having to screwing the parts.Downside for me, is the price. I just wish it could be cheaper. But comparing this with others on the market at this level, this is okay. The price definitely will drop as this is still quite new.

Arrived on time, no problem with the grinder. Very precise machining and there was barely any fines. Managed to make some very nice cups of coffee with lots of clarity

This is a coffee grinder that you will hand down to your grandchildren as it will last forever. Very well made and easy to change grinder settings whenever you need it.

Fantastic grinder that is easy to adjust and calibrate with the external adjustment ring. Consistent grind size at each setting that I've used for Aeropress.Grinding is quick and this is helped with the efficiency of the handle.Can highly recommend!

it takes some trying to find the perfect grind for the type of coffee pot (piston) but we love that it is easy to turn without much effort. A great piece to have with no electricity needed and no noise!

El 1Zpresso X-Ultra es una joya de ingeniería y funciona perfecto, pero la experiencia de compra fue decepcionante. El empaque llegó sumamente maltratado y desgastado, a diferencia de otros modelos de la marca que he comprado. Al ser un instrumento de alta precisión, un empaque así no garantiza que el equipo no haya sufrido impactos internos. Además, para quienes coleccionamos o cuidamos el valor de reventa, recibir una caja en este estado es inaceptable por el precio que se paga

Je l'utilise pour des v60 il donne une mouture homogène sans trop de difficulté .Le moulin est très esthétique ,le système aimanté est pratique mais il faut prendre le cou de main pour éviter de faire tomber le réservoir en moulant le café.Attention au bijoux le corp du moulin zst en alu mat et sa peu laisser des marques sur le moulin.Une belle valise ,un moulin facile d’entretien.Je recommande.
