Coronation Street star Vicky Binns shows you how to get rid of that excess weight by mixing easy dance moves with interval training. Trainer Rachel Ravenscroft's routine will have you shedding the stones in no time. Review: A fab way to lose weight and enjoy yourself! - I love this work out dvd! I was a bit worried when I purchased it as I am not the best dancer! I get there in the end but am no way like Michael Jackson was and get the dance moves first time!!! I need to go over moves...but I thought what the hell give it a go! So pleased I did - the three dance cardio sections are great and there were a few steps that I didn't get at first but I pleasantly surprised myself and got there in the end, and even if I did struggle I just blagged it knowing that the more I do the dvd the better I will get! The routines also incorporate aerobic moves which are given a dance slant, which makes it all the more doable. I absolutely sweated in this work out and I do consider myself fit what with going the gym where I do push myself. This is a little gem and I shall be do this dvd over and over again. Vicky Binns comes across as genuine and passionate about the workout and has a good rapport with her trainer, which helps to gee you up whilst your doing the dvd. This one sits up there with my Nell DVD's! Review: IT WORKS!! - I was in two minds whether to buy this DVD or not...I have been a big fan of the Davina collection and I was worried there was more to 'Molly from Corrie' weight loss than this DVD - she looks so amazing these days. However, after much deliberating I bought the DVD...and wow it is brilliant. I eat pretty healthy anyway and as mentioned above did do the Dabina workout daily already. But there was always that stubborn few pounds I couldnt get rid of...and my bum and legs were never quite toned enough. After buying this video those few pounds are shifting, and my bum is rock hard...my legs are shapely and my stomach is amazing!!! I love this DVD...and like her trainer keeps telling you ' you dont even realise you are working out cos you are dancing' and its true...after the whole DVD I am wet through, worked up such a sweat and out of breathe...but while doing the workout you dont realise how shattered you actually are. Basically, its a 10min warm up introducing some of the dance moves for later, moving on to 2 15min dance routines (which dont worry, are pretty easy, shattering, but simple enough) moving on to the toning section for bums, arms, stomach...not brilliant because I would like it to focus for long on the abs but you still feel the burn. After I complete this hour dance dvd I usually finish off with Billy Blanks Tae Bo for abs and glutes which is 30mins focus on those muscles...so I feel better for working them. All in all this workout is amazing and I love it...its fun and it works...also the music is good!!!

Depends what you are looking for
I've just done this DVD once, having received it earlier today. I would say it's fun but not as good as something like Davina's Total Body workout. If you are interested in the diet section then don't bother buying the DVD to see it because there's very little information - just a list displayed on your screen of possible meals you could eat.Vicky looks amazing and has lots of energy and smiles the whole way through which is encouraging. However, there's only a very very brief glimpse at the start of how she got to look that way. I think a bit longer showing the 'old' Vicky would have been encouraging. On to the exercises - the trainer is great. She looks wonderful and gives very clear insructions the whole way through. Some of the moves are hard to get the hang of but if you have done dancing before I'm sure that would help. I haven't and I missed a lot of the moves first time around. It's fun, it doesn't last too long and as long as you aren't put off by the sight of Vicky prancing around like a porn star in silver hotpants at the beginning (call your boyfriend in to view this section and you may be surprised at his new interest in keep fit) or the tacky silver background throughout, then it's enjoyable and definitely works up a sweat. Really, I don't know what they were thinking with the set - the only thing missing is some poles to dance around. As you dance you don't really notice that you're getting out of puff because it moves so fast and you are concentrating on the moves so hard. It's not a major workout but good if you are looking for something quite light. The cool down section isn't long enough as I definitely feel like my muscles still need a good stretch.

Not too bad at al
I bought this along with another workout DVD. Having been a membe of a gym for a few years and having done classes such as body combat and body pump I was not sure what to expect from a workout dvd. I was quite suprised that the DVD is as entertaining as it is. It is called Dance it Off and whilst there is an element of dance in reality it is an aerobic work out which works you hard but the routine is made into a dancy type sequence which you do a couple of times so you can actually do all the moves even if you don't get them the first time round. It does make you sweat and there is no need for hand weights as the toning part of the DVD uses your own body weight and strength. I would recommend this for anyone of any finess level. You can make this as easy or as hard as you want and it is quite a fun workout to do. Before you know it the workout is over which is always a bonus!! I don't miss the gym at all because this workout does everything that the gym classes did but much much cheaper and in the comfort of your own home. Certainly one to try!

Effective and enjoyable
Can't believe wikipedia says this sold less than 100 copies. Can't be so, and if it is then this dvd hasn't achieved the circulation it deserves! I regularly do dvd workouts - Davina, MoS etc. I find Brit workouts the best all round. I had never heard of Miss Binns before (don't watch Corrie) but purchased this on the strength of amazon reviews. It's basically 3 dance sections (including the warmup, which is a kind of rehearsal for the second section). The routines strike a nice balance between being easy enough to follow, but still maintaining interest. It ends with a toning section which suprisingly is a bit different to other dvds - sit ups are performed in a unique way, which was quite challenging. Squats are incorporated in the dance moves, so the legs get a great workout from the start. The music is great, neither generic nor repetitive. The instructor and Ms Binns do a great job, and are never irritating. Highly recommended. Oh, and it makes you sweat!

Not for the faint-hearted
I don't recommend this for the over 35's! I am an over-50 and wanted to add some variety to my keep-fit attempts and as I like dancing thought I'd try this. Well, the trainer's "warm up" was like a full burn with Rosemary Conley (of whom I'm a fan). I panicked when I started to watch it the first time, then gave it another go & realised that most of the warm-up was fairly standard aerobics stuff, just done quite fast. But then it moved onto the next stage. A brief slow demonstration of a new step, then a very fast couple of repeats which didn't seem anything like what had just been demonstrated. I gave up. You need to be determined to keep going with this. The intro pic of Vicky shows that she's lost a lot of inches doing the programme but in order to follow it you need to keep stopping the DVD and going over the steps till you get them right. I couldn't recommend it, but maybe it's my age! I'm not into street dance or whatever, even though I'm prepared to give it a go. This DVD needed to be at a much slower pace to start so you have a chance to get used to new steps. Only for the young and determined.

Great workout!
The "Dance if off with Vicky Binns" is actually my first Fitness DVD I ever bought and I have to admit that it was a good choice. Well, I can't compare it do other DVDs but I've already been doing some beginners gym classes comparable to this workout. And honestly, this workout is so much better. It's tough at some points but you feel great after... You just have to clench your teeth a bit. But anyway, it's getting better every time you do it again. Rachel explains the steps and movements very well and both, Rachel and Vicky, have a great presence and it's really hard not to like them. What I really liked about this workout, is that it is a bit different from some boring standard aerobic. It includes some easy street dance moves combined with high intense cardio workout... a bit of everything. If you're not so fit, Rachel also gives alternatives like just walking a bit instead of jogging. And by the way, the music is quite cool too. Just makes you wanna dance. I can only recommend this DVD to anyone who's seriously interested in getting fitter or/and losing weight. For me, it works perfectly.

LOVE this DVD!
I bought this because I needed some cardio in my workouts - I don't have a lot of stamina so I do a lot of walking, pilates and other low impact exercises. I wanted a dance based DVD to liven things up and get up a decent sweat - this was just about the highest rated dance workout here so I thought I'd go for it! Having 2 left feet, it's no surprise that I didn't nail all the moves first time round, but after only a few runthroughs I'm almost there! Concentrating on the moves keeps my mind off the hard work, so I don't realise how much of a workout I've had until I've finished. The full workout including warmup and cooldown takes less than an hour too, so it doesn't eat up too much time. I wouldn't say I like the instructor, but she really is great at keeping me motivated - every time I'm ready to give up she chirps up with a "come on, you're almost there!". The moves are all done slowly at first to ease you in, and trust me, if I can pick them up, you can! The workout is mostly dancing, with a few boxing moves thrown in, and a nice floor section with some unusual ab exercises at the end - no boring crunches! I've never really been able to do more than about 5 press ups, but somehow this workout just really motivates me and I managed the whole set first time. All in all, this is probably too basic if you already dance, but for a wannabe dancer who doesn't have enough coordination to get through a beginners' step class - absolutely perfect.
