KAVU Rope Sling - Compact Lightweight Crossbody Bag

Great, it's durable, beautiful. I've received so many compliments. It's so convenient. I love to just throw it on and go. It carries a lot. Love love, love.

While I never carry a traditional purse, I do always carry some type of bag when I travel which is frequent enough for me to have a large collection of small messengers and backpacks. I had been eyeing this bag for a long time in my local outfitters but the price was too high for me to justify it until my last trip. I was traveling light so I needed something for airport land (travel docs, phone, carry on fun, snacks, etc), walking around towns, and dayhikes. After the week trip, I am so love in love with this bag I now carry it daily. The sling setup for me is so convenient and let's not gloss over the obvious that the sling is made of rope so for those of us that climb or cave it makes it extra fun - even had a number of fellas comment on the "coolness" of that. I wear it tight to my body so it doesn't easily shift other than when I want it to. Just swing it around and grab what I need. I love the pocket layout as well. The small one carries chapsticks and small items. The larger front zip handles the phone, my large ecig, extra batteries, and sometimes my keys. One pocket seems slightly larger and that holds my large wallet, food, tablet, stuff for the dog, hand wipes, medicine, etc. Your daily use stuff. The other pocket I use for whatever my task is that day and a water bottle or I carry clothes in it. I have fit a surprising amount of clothing in there. The bag at first glance does not look like it will hold all this but a clever design makes it work. I never feel like I have a big bag on and it never feels heavy. It feels high quality and I love that the fabric is good at sloughing off dirt and debris picked up on the streets and trails. I suppose one day I'll have to wash it but I have a feeling that's a long way off. My only regret is not picking this up sooner. One downside is if you have a very small frame like myself. I have the strap pulled all the way in. It fits great there but you have to bundle up all the tail. Thankfully there's a little spandex holder that keeps it neat. I worry about this breaking though. I can always just lop it off and recreate the spandex thing to the best of my ability but I wish the excess strap storage would have been dealt with a little differently as still sometimes the holder lets loose and I have a foot or so of webbing flopping in the wind. Other than that, no complaints.

This is my second purchase. Love how much stuff fits in it, my phone fits in the front packet, great material, Brite colors, super comfortable, I use it to the front,great for travel, the style is perfect, better than backpack for me. Durable, my first bag lated yrs, the only thing is the velcro on one of the pocket was all like furry by closing and opening threw the year's. Besides that the bag can still be used, but I preferred buying another one. A bit pricey, but it's good quality.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love the vibrant solid blue color. I have other bags made the same but in prints and they just never have worn out. I can throw them in the wash (I do just hang dry) and there’s plenty of room for everything. This is my favorite style bag to carry.

I love Kavu sling bags. I own four of them. They are sturdy, easy to clean, easy to wear, and hold a LOT. I’m always on the lookout for a new pattern . I prefer the canvas bags. The other material they use is loud, for lack of a better word. I’ve only had one bag break on me. Well the zipper failed. I think it was my fault though because I over stuffed it regularly. There is plenty of room for your phone, keys, wallet, snacks, sunglasses, makeup and whatever you want to put in the other pockets.

This is my second Kavu rope sling bag & I absolutely love the color of this one, I can style it with so many items, very versatile!! Super comfortable, holds a ton & great pockets for keeping my items organized & very durable.

This bag is super comfortable to wear and you don't have to worry about messing with keeping it on your shoulder like a regular purse or even having to readjust after movement like a crossbody. I forget I have it on! Usually when I'm out running errands and have to get a shopping cart the first thing I do is put my bag in it because I'm sick of lugging it around...but not this one! It's a perfect minimalist mom bag, it stays on when you are chasing kids or have to pick one up and doesn't get in the way. I wish I had this when I was baby wearing! Very handy that it can be worn on the back or front and quickly flips around. I can fit my wallet, a couple compact reusable shopping bags, my water bottle and my son's, a hand sanitizer and handkerchief and a few snacks in here. ! Protip! get a carabiner for your Keychain and you can clip it right to the front buckle so your keys stay accessible as you are running errands and back and forth to the car. I got the fairy tale print and absolutely love it! Only downsides are 1.I wish it was a tad bit bigger (but the good side of that it keeps me from weighing it down by putting too much junk in it) 2. the zipper pulls feel very small and flimsy for how buried they are under the zipper flap. I acknowledge the later is a trade off to keep it water resistant...but I'd love if there was a larger heftier pull or even bit of paracord on there to make it a bit quicker/easier to get to. I may end up doing some sort of diy on it myself. That all being said I'm super happy with it and it's my absolute new favorite bag. The print really puts it over the top for me! Love it!

My daughter loved this colorful design. This is her second Kavu and she uses them for everyday use and travel.

Bag is great, however, it’s NOT the Kavu Rope Pack. It’s the Rope Sling - which is a completely different material. I was hoping for the Pack, but I like the pattern enough to keep this one. Great size and a true Kavu.
