Inspiration!
Bonnie Jill Laflin is a woman that has paved her way in the sports industry. She is a dynamic woman in her own right navigating the transition from NFL/NBA Cheerleader to NBA scout of the Lakers but then she became an author highlighting other women in this space. Such a great read and super inspiring even if you are not in the sports industry. Makes you feel like you can accomplish everything!

Uplifting and Empowering
In a League of Her Own is a wonderfully crafted and engaging read. It is a series of interviews and stories of inspiring women who have paved the way for future generations in the sports industry. These chapters are not drama filled or scandalous, they are uplifting and memorable real stories of women who put their blood, sweat and tears into breaking down barriers for women worldwide. I enjoyed reading this with my daughter. The book itself is also a 10 out of 10 with a velvety soft cover and buttery smooth pages it is a joy to hold and read.

A Must Read for All
In A League of Her Own : Celebrating Female Firsts in Sports is a much needed and long overdue read for all. Focusing on the women pioneers who paved the way in so many avenues of the sports world is very inspiring to read. As a mother to three little girls this is exactly the type of material I want them to be exposed to as they get older. It is so good for them to see what these women did and how they all followed different paths, but ultimately broke down barriers so that my girls can reach new heights in the sports world. I love how Bonnie-Jill crafted the interviews and stories together and focused on how these women should truly be recognized and celebrated!!

Interesting reading
Great success to the ladies Bonnie wrote about. However, I got kind of bored if I hadn't heard of them. My favorite was Leah Ali.

Inspiring read for young women and young men!
Bonnie-Jill"s book is an inspiration for young women as well as young men. Any parents with daughters looking for inspiration in making a career in sports should invest in this book! There are several stories of women who have broken glass ceilings in a men's world. My favorite story is about Manon Rheaume who's hockey card I still own! The only thing missing is more details on Bonnie-Jill's path in breaking barriers for women in several sports and in the broadcast world. I highly recommend this book!!!
