Q: Is the cedar wood treated for the weather?

Ours sat in a wooded area for 6 months and there was no damage to the wood. I believe cedar is naturally water resistant.

Q: With an asphalt roof, does the inside heat up a lot in summer? i’m in bakersfield ca. summers are 110.

Yes if sitting out in sun. Does best in a shady area or on a porch. You can pop out the piece of ‘window’ plastic for more ventilation or buy a small cooling unit and install inside (will need access to power).

Q: It says insulated but it’s not insulated?? Confused?

I think saying insulated is because it’s wooden and has flaps to block off any air coming in the doorway. It’s very warm for my German Shepherd. She will lay outside the house if it’s not terribly cold. It doesn’t have “insulation” it’s just built with insulating materials. I would def recommend it! We are very pleased with it.

Q: Can my 60lbs Rottweiler move around inside ok?

I would doubt that a dog that sie would fit, let alone be able to move around.
