Hanes Originals Women's Fleece Sweatshirt, Midweight Sweatshirt for Women, Placed Flowers

Ah, the comfort of a really good sweatshirt. Beautiful steely blue-gray color, and soft fabric. Just now got it, can’t wait to wear it! Update: I washed and dried my new sweatshirt on hot. The 80/20 cotton/poly blend didn’t shrink; perfect! I generally wear a ‘medium’ or ‘large’ but I ordered this sweatshirt in 2XL, because I wanted it to be easy to throw on without feeling constricted, be roomy, and feel like a warm ‘hug’ …which it does. I customized the neckline, reducing the trim at the neckline by half (stitching it under) for a flattering ‘boatneck’ and did the same with the hem. Basically elevating a $10 deal into an ‘upscale casual’ garment (like you’d find in an expensive ‘yoga’ clothing store), with a more ‘boxy’ fit rather from a regular sweatshirt. Also, my arms are long-ish, and I like ‘long sleeves’ to actually be long enough to go a bit past my wrists. Hanes sizing does that! I’m ‘allergic’ to synthetic fibers, but this Hanes 80/20 blend doesn’t bother me, and hurrah it also doesn’t shrink, and doesn’t seem to ‘pill’ either. The ‘fleece-like’ inside of this garment is soft on bare skin. In my experience, know that the sizing on this Hanes sweatshirt is true to size, without shrinkage in washing or drying. YES!!! to the consistent quality of Hanes!!

I love how this sweatshirt looks and fits - but the description is wrong: It's 80% cotton and 20% polyester, and not 100% cotton as it's described. I ordered both the Lilac and the White and neither are 100% cotton. I personally like the bat wing-styled sleeves as it gives it a different look from a unisex bland sweatshirt. The lilac color is attractive, and it's truly a good value for the money. It washes and dries (by machine) nicely without shrinkage (I did hang it to dry while still a little damp). Washing helps plump up the luscious fleece lining which makes it warm on the skin. I like that it's lightweight yet warm, making it a great item to pack along on trips.

I’m having a love affair with Hanes sweats at the moment, so I bought the natural sweatshirt and sweats and I’m living out my fantasies of being a TikTok influencer who only wears neutral shades and lives in a cavernous house that looks like it was staged by a realtor. I’m having fun over here. These sweats are fantastic, such a great value, they feel really thick and cozy. My ONLY gripe is that they give off So Much Fluff. Wore this guy without washing him first and my armpits with filled with creak colored fluff balls after a few hours. Wore the sweatpants and left cream fluff balls all over my (not greige) apartment. The same happens with the black Hanes sweats I got, even after multiple washes. It’s worth it to me, I will likely buy more, I will recommend them to others, they’re wonderful and thick and luxurious and the price is unbeatable, but I know the fluff situation is going to drive some people up the wall, so it needs to be mentioned. (Also I buy them oversized, so definitely don’t go off my sizing for a flattering fit. I like them enormous.)

Love this sweatshirt! Real cotton feel and relatively lightweight. Slightly cropped but covers the waist band of my mid rise jeans. I got xs in the soft teal green color and I'm 5'1" at 115lbs and it's a very comfortable fit. The neckline is large enough that it can be difficult to stylishly put a regular tshirt underneath but it has a modern fit and I like that. If I could get it in more colors than lilac and light green, I would buy them up!! Also, doesn't seem to shrink in wash. I've washed it 4 times and put it in the dryer each time on medium.

Cute color, really soft material. The neck hole is soooooo small. You can barely fit your head through it. I bought it for my mom as a gift, so it was a bit of a bummer.

The sweatshirt is great when you first buy it, extremely comfortable and not heavy. I did wash it for the first time and followed the care instructions to a T, and it did still shrink. They recommend cold wash and either hang to dry or tumble dry but even after following the instructions it shrunk. The sleeves are now too short so it’s almost unwearable.

Too wide in the sleeves

Warm, soft, well-made fleece sweater. It fits true to size. Love the ivory. Launders beautifully. I've worn it often and it still looks like new even after multiple wash and dries in the dryer. I suggest drying it inside out tio catch the loose inside fleece.
