Nocticadia: A Dark Academia Gothic Romance Paperback – April 20, 2023 Paperback

I am not a literature student , but I came across a term call Sensual/ Sensuous Writing ( which simply known as writing which touches the senses like sight, touch, smell, taste in narrative).- as I gushed to her about it and she said that - this words are vivid in her mind and she often thought how it was translated in the books -Keri's words, her narrative is so beautiful, so so beautiful. Reading Nocticadia made everything around me blur as if I am living the life in Dracadia. Her vivid words formed a vivid world in me making me see nothing but the world and images that was created in it. As if, just a stretch of my hand and I could Touch it. Feel it. Taste it.Lilia and Devryck- everything about them felt so human, everything between them felt so natural like it was meant to happen - the constant push and pull, the stolen moments in the dark corners - the delicious torment of wanting and having but knowing that it shouldn't - it felt religious, them - the relationship.Keri, has a power of bringing her thoughts and inking it in a way that makes the reader feel nothing but the urge of just being there - living it. Engraving each and every piece of it to them.I feel honoured to have found her, reading her and now she is one Author who is going to torment me forever because it's just beautiful. One taste and now I am a goner.I need some days to come back from Dracadia. It's a place I never want to leave.

Definitely give a read. Beautifully written. Kept my heart going dum dum dum. I wish we could also get another story on Caed and Bee.

Their dynamic is electric, filled with tension that slowly builds into an intense and steamy romance.Lilia, the female main character, is a force to be reckoned with. Strong, resilient, and determined, she navigates the dark, mysterious world with grace and grit.The plot twists in this book are executed flawlessly, each one more surprising than the last. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, Lake throws another curveball that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book was one of my most anticipated read of the year, and it didn’t fail. It came here to serve and it really really did. I have been dying to get to read about Lilia and Professor Bramwell, and omgg they were everything. The lush gothic serene setup that had me live vicariously through the main characters. Moreover, I am forever in awe of the word building and the writing style of the Lake. The intricate web of her story writing is unparalleled. I loved how relatable the characters were, the thought provoking yet simple language. And, the voice of the heroine, her quick wit, sharp mind. On top of that, the the sweeping romance; the angst, the chemistry, and a plot that kept me guessing until the very end?? AHHmazing. If my feelings could be captivated within one word, it would be ENTHRALLED!

So this is a new to me author and let me tell you, I'll be reading everything she writes now cuz hot damn, what a ride this book was.So I have been in dark academia book hangover since Gothikana and Nocticadia finally appeased me in a way no other boarding school book has managed to in a while. The setup, world building, the lore, the descriptions, oh my god. I knew from the first two chapters that I would love the book and I did. I can't tell how happy and excited I was while reading it. This isn't gonna be review, more of a fan rant and you all have to bear with me. Devryck and Lilia are now my favourite characters and I need me a Devryck, please. A hot older guy who's not misogynist and is obsessed with her? Yeah I wouldn't mind that one bit.Now on to the book, I finished it within 2 days. It's a big book, almost 700 and there's no filler content. Every chapter is mysterious and you will have many questions throughout it. And the twists and revelations will knock you out. The narration was very addictive, I couldn't stop reading once I started, stayed up until 4 in the morning. I'm definitely getting the paperback when I can. The ending makes me wish we would get a book on "you will know who when you read it" lol. He sounds spicy 🥵. And the plot potential is making me crazy just thinking about it. Now I am going to reread it cuz I'm not over it.

There is no good time to put this book down. Fast paced, murder, mystery, forbidden relationship. Wonderfully written!! Wish I could give it 6 stars

Fiquei obcecada com as vibes desse livro desde o início, me senti num filme de suspense gótico e trevoso.O romance me lembra muito Blue/Lance de Zodiac Academy e acho que essa leitura vai me perseguir durante um bom tempo.

I was very excited about my order until I opened the package. Wow. This is honestly the WORST cover/printing/… that i’ve seen.. It’s a shame that they ask that amount of money for this print.. No actually it’s a shame that they sell it like this. Sending it back straight away
