I’ve bought two of these outside taps and they’ve both worked brilliantly for different purposes. One is fitted to a pair of linked water butts, and it gives a smooth, steady flow - perfect for filling a watering can without any leaks or drips. The other I used to add to an existing outside tap using a splitter, and it connected easily and securely with no fuss. The build quality feels solid, and all the fittings were tight and reliable straight out of the box. Installation was straightforward. Highly recommended whether you’re looking to manage rainwater from water butts or extend your current garden tap setup.

Excellent way of adding a garden tap using a length of standard garden hose to extend the water supply from another tap. Solid brass and well made. Comes with all the fixings you are likely to need. Recommended.

Well, I had been looking forward to receiving this tap as the supply fitting made it easier to attach a hose or supply hose instead of faffing around with copper pipe. I will try to be clear with pros and cons as the build quality is brilliant and for a novice DIYer it would be much easier to use. For a start the build is great. The brass is well cast and solid, no flakes or sharp edges often found on cast metal products. The first thing I noticed was how low the tap head is to the body, this means you have less clearance once fitted to a back board or wall. For some this might be useful especially if you are trying to fit a tap with low height clearance. I wanted to fit it to a back board to stand proud of the wall with a bucket stand below. But the proximity to the wall bracket in height meant it did not stand proud of the top of the board. However this of course is not a fault, just a different design which didn't suit my needs. The tap handle turns smoothly and without great effort, it also has fairly large paddles to turn making it easier for people with a weaker grip. The threads are clean and without fault, the tap does not leak and the rubber washers are chunky and good quality, and the back plate is accessible enough for a long handles screwdriver to fit. Screws are included, suprising not brass like the tap itself, a minor detail but for me I hate to see brass fittings with silver screws. The screws themselves are of good quality. I would recommend this for anyone who does not have the skill to fit a tap with copper pipe feed. Very well made in all aspects, great price, what's not to like. Would recommend.

I'd never seen these before. I'd considered putting in a permanent tap to the top of our garden, but it would have required so much work, plus in the winter it would have had to all of been disconnected etc. to prevent it freezing. Instead, I simply bought a brass splitter for the existing tap, then a new 30m Gardena Liano Extreme hose (not cheap - but I already have two of these hoses, the lite version and the extreme and they are SO well made - after buying many a cheap hose, I now swear by these). Anyway, I installed an old wooden post, ran the hose up the side of the garden and bingo, we now have an outside tap at the top of our hilly garden. In the winter, I will simply disconnect it and empty the hose out before putting away for the cold season.

I use this as an extension for my garden hose. Attached down the garden, it means when I reach the hose limit, I can attach my hose to this, then get my second reel out. Makes watering the far end of my garden easier, saves waking so far with watering can / walking so far to turn water off / adjusting flow etc. Being brass, it is sturdy, compatible with Gardena and Hoselock, connects easily and will last a long time as it is not plastic, so will not degrade in the sun

Tap is as described and the quality seems fine. It's quite small, if you need a strong flow. They took payment instantly and it took 8 days to arrive. After waiting in for a day, that night, they advised it would be another 5-6 days. If you're happy to wait at least eight days, then it's fine. The delay may be due to using Royal Mail. Other goods ordered and delivered by Amazon at the same time came the following day.

First one that arrived dripped but I contacted them and they sent out a new one straight away. Returned the old one and this second one is perfect. Never even knew they existed but so glad I can finally have a tap at my back garden! Used a splitter in the front tap so still have a hose in the front but ran a hose to the back and attached it to this tap. So much better than relying on a gun at the end of a hose which inevitably will pop off randomly or leak. This is ideal.

I received my Darlac tap yesterday and installed it immediately. It took me a couple of moments and was ready for use. It is a wonderful product and saved me the expense and time of calling a plumber to install a new water line to my vegetable garden. Fantastic idea and my tomatoes appreciate it.
