UPDATE: If I had normal feet (9.5AAA), this would have been perfect for me! I think though with any normal width foot these would be ideal. While my ankle was swollen, this sleeve was a wonder. Now however, it’s too loose and keeps slipping around. It certainly does bring relief. As to whether or not you can wear shoes with...you do not even know you have it on. No worries! It’s really too early to judge this sleeve. I just got it and had been sitting in pain, around waiting for it. I won’t expect miracles but hopefully some relief. I have a very long, narrow foot, women’s 9.5 AAA. I figured it would be pretty loose and it is. However, it seems the gel is keeping it in place. I just hope I have it on properly!! In the 1st picture I tried to turn my leg side ways so you can see the fit. I will come back to my review after I have worn it a while.

I bought the heel sleeves because I have had trouble with my hiking boots VS my heels. Before, when hiking I used moleskin, then added a callus pad over the moleskin and covered the pad by a padded bandage. This triple application worked, but was a pain in the a_ _ so I was looking for an alternative, something more convenient that would keep the massive blisters at bay. I have since been on two 8 mile and one 12 mile hike using my new heel sleeves and there is reason to celebrate. Once on, the stayed in place and added the cushion I need to hike pain free. I was so impressed. A quick note about the company, CRS: there was a question/concern I had about the product and dropped them a note. THEY RESPONDED THE NEXT DAY AND RESOLVED THE ISSUE IMMEDIATELY. I WAS SO IMPRESSED!!!! To sum it up, CRS sold me a great product which suited and fixed my problem perfectly and the company has INTEGRITY. BTW; going on a 10 mile hike tomorrow and it will be pain free!!

The product is exactly as described. For my particular need it’s ok- I need a little more support on the Achilles heel section of my foot and this gives a low to medium support. It stays in place which is nice and is very comfortable.

The quality of these braces has greatly depreciated. I find that the padding splits in two within the first dozen or so days. This has happened to the last two pairs I have bought, but was never an issue for the pairs purchased before those. New material or something? I don't know. But I'll probably find a new brand.

Helps a lot to cover my heel to be able to wear sneakers comfortably with haglund's deformity.

These arrived today. I put them on and there is no compression at all on my Achilles tendon! They are loose and don't offer the support they advertise. I have size 9 feet in women and wide feet. But, these are loose at the back of my heel. They are only snug around the bands on both ends. So disappointed! I need a good compression garment to help alleviate the constant pain and these were not the right choice. You can see the wrinkles in the garment showing how loose they are on my foot.

I just hiked many miles with a lot of altitude with these sleeves for the first time. No pain in my left foot! They were easy to put on and comfortable to wear. I have a painful stretched achilles tendon and a bone growth pushing into the tendon. They also don't block the sweat from your feet from evaporating which is very important when exercising. Update to add that I also wore a heel lift.

I really wanted these to work for my Achilles Tendonitis! My grandson is getting married and I cannot wear any kind of shoes with a back because of the pain. All the reviews had me hopeful but,..... they must have been too large because they would not stay up, the heel and the ankle parts were not in the right places and there was no pain relief. The gel was not thick enough to cushion the back of my ankle and that is where I needed the relief. I tried with and without socks but it made no difference. I wear a 9.5 shoe and got an X Large - maybe I should have gotten the 1 size fits all. Oh well.....

I’ve developed painful Haglund’s deformities on my heels from hiking in bad footwear. I didn’t want to stop hiking but the burning sensation I was experiencing was on the verge of unbearable. I wore these on my last hike, underneath a pair of thick socks, for about 4 hours total with a steep grade. Although I could still feel some mild pressure on the bone, it was a shocking improvement from before. I didn’t have to stop or limp. I honestly forgot about them for the vast majority of the hike. The gel pad is thick enough to decrease the pressure immensely. However, because the gel wraps under the heel (I’m thinking for use with plantar fasciitis), it made it a tiny bit awkward to walk on, as my heels would slide on the gel slightly with each step. Also it takes a little shifting to try to get the gel pad in the center of your heel for each step, while still being high enough for posterior heel protection. Even so, I think these are my new go-to for pain prevention. Very happy with the purchase.
