Excellent product

I now have 3 of these to colour match my bikes, everything you need to plug small punctures that your sealant hasn’t dealt with in a compact little container, throw it in a saddlebag for when you need it.

Sadly didn’t work for me but I think the hole was too big even for the large plug. I think it had been glass that I ran over. I initially tried the small one but it leaked when I tried to trim it off. So thought I’d put the thicker one in. It was a real struggle and it was with the tyre off the rim so I could see the strip inside and out, like it is supposed to be. After pumping it up it held the pressure really well so once again I tried to trim it off with a Stanley knife. The plugs are incredibly sticky and that caused it to stick to the blade which then drew the plug out slightly. At this point I could see the plug rising out of the tyre by itself under the pressure. It popped out like a cork. I think they could work ok on mountain bike tyres which have a tread and so wouldn’t need to be trimmed but with slick road tyres I was un successful. I have included a coup of photos. The cut was approximately 5mm long. The picture was taken after 2 patches we stuck inside and the cut superglued. It was still raised when pumped up to pressure so I have had to replace what was an almost new tyre.

Well made and built to last. I don't think there is a huge amount to say about tyre plugs as they are generally all pretty much the same. However, the fact that Peaty's has only 1.5 progs definitely helps with getting the plug of the prong and retained in the tyre - that's unique to this design as far as I am aware and works perfectly in comparison to a number of plug kits I have tried before where getting the plug between the two prongs can be a bit of a challenge (especially if you keep your nails super short). I would definitely recommend!

Great product.

One of the more compact dedicated puncture plug tools I own, and certainly the nicest-looking. Slightly smaller than a 20g CO2, the rounded design makes it easy to throw in a bag with other tools without poking holes in things or taking up a lot of space. Theoretically possible to pre-load a plug into the prongs for speed, but that does make it more difficult to store extras inside the handle.

Klein und handlich – das Set passt wunderbar in die Satteltasche, ohne unnötig Platz wegzunehmen. Gebraucht habe ich es zum Glück noch nicht, aber schon beim Anschauen und Anfassen macht es einen super wertigen Eindruck. Gutes Gefühl, für den Fall der Fälle gerüstet zu sein, ohne dass es unterwegs stört. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die schlauchlos unterwegs sind und auf Nummer sicher gehen wollen!
