A solid desk upgrade that actually respects high-quality audio
I picked this up to replace a dead speaker on my computer desk. I wasn't looking for something to carry around to parties; I just wanted something that sounded clean while I'm working. The first thing I noticed is that it doesnโt sound "tiny." If you have a library of high-quality music files like I do, youโll actually hear the difference here because it supports the LDAC codec. Itโs rare to find that at this price point. I keep it standing up on my desk, and the sound is crisp and balanced. It doesn't have that muddy, artificial bass that a lot of small speakers use to try and sound bigger than they are. The speaker has a sensor that changes the EQ depending on if itโs standing up or laying down. For a desk setup, standing it up is definitely the way to go for the best clarity. Youโll definitely want to download the Soundcore app, too. The out-of-the-box sound is okay, but taking two minutes to tweak the EQ made it sound much better to my ears. It stays connected to my PC and my phone at the same time which is convenient, though occasionally I have to poke at my settings if it gets confused about which one should be playing. My biggest complaint is the buttonsโtheyโre flush with the top and a bit hard to see if your lighting isn't great. Also, while itโs portable, it has some real weight to it. That's good for sound quality since it doesn't vibrate on the desk, but you'll notice it if you're throwing it in a bag. Overall, if you want something small for your desk that doesn't sacrifice audio quality, this is an easy recommendation. Itโs built well and handles "real" music files better than anything else Iโve tried in this size.

Waterproof, corrosive environment proof
I work a job that produces industrial grade acids. I decided to take this speaker with me one day when cleaning out mud from a holding tank, and it got splattered with the mud. I was skeptical of hosing the speaker down but due to the price i rolled the dice and I can vouch that it is indeed waterproof. I love the sound for its size it travels and the battery lasted my ten hour shift that day, in general I charge it every seven days with regular use 3-4 hours a day continously. The sound is clean im not an audiophile but I love a good deal and this speaker definitely holds up. I highly recommend this brand and this speaker for a lightweight speaker to travel with I keep it in my car so I always have it ready to go and it hasn't failed yet. I recently bought the anker soundcore boom2 plus and look forward to taking that to work with ***EDIT*** I want to add that i didnt know that this is ankers version of the, Bose SoundLink Flex Portable Speaker 2nd Gen, and after doing my research, anker stands above the bose for three personally significant reasons. #1 the price is half of the price of bose. #2 The anker is completely waterproof with the silicone plug over the ports, im telling you I hosed mine down no mercy I wanted all of the acidic mud off of it and to this day it is not blemishes. #3 battery life, bose says the speaker lasts 4 hours at full volume. I have consistently used my anker 300 for a minute of an eight hour shift on a single charge, I have other speakers but when im in confined spaces I use this speaker. I have had it for a year now and it is still working as if brand new, im getting a second one to pair up for a bigger sound

Great sound for a compact speaker!
Great sound for a compact speaker! The Soundcore Motion 300 delivers powerful, clear audio with solid bass for its size. Battery life easily lasts all day, and the waterproof design makes it perfect for outdoor use. Bluetooth connection is fast and reliable, and the Soundcore app adds useful EQ options. Excellent value for the price, highly recommend.

100% impressed. Buy this speaker and forget the rest.
I bought two... No regrets.... Man the vocals are crazy. I do have the latest version of bluetooth over iphone 15, but even the 14 we tried with was the same. It's not a single speaker to blast a party... but in a house even a larger open area, it is more than enough and very clear at upper volumes. for the less than 1% of reviews that may say something negative, I have to assume they don't make many attempts to clear up the EQ or whatever. or maybe they got a dud, that happens in every product in the world. I literally turned it on, connected to phone via Bluetooth, opened Spotify and hit play... I do use the Spotify EQ, and so should you. Amazing sound from this small size. It can get loud and stay very clear to hear all the instruments and vocals, with the lows coming through and the highs not fading at all. Seriously bada** little speaker. Feels very solid and well made. Good weight to it also. Not sure how much better the double priced Bose model can be... this thing is more than good enough. The YouTube reviews will help you understand this thing is an amazing value without really compromising sound quality. The Anker brand is a very well established brand. Is it Bose? No. Bose is the best. Do I want to own two for the price of 1 and pretty much get the same thing? Yes please. Easy to carry and transport and great battery life. Really like the aesthetics. We bought the blue and green ones..., they were on discount vs the black. But both colors are understated and "cool". Housing quality feels very high end for plastic.

Great sound for the size and price!
We were replacing an older, cheap Doss Bluetooth speaker that we loved, but itโs battery had seen better days and was having problems holding a charge. We actually purchased another Doss of the same model, but they must have changed some of the internals because the new Doss sounded like it was stuffed in a pillow. It went right back! We purchased a Bose SoundLink Flex which was comparable in size to our old speaker. The Bose had phenomenal volume and bass for the size, but sounded flat on top end to me. The Bose also reproduced sound in mono. I didnโt think that would be a big deal with the small size, but perhaps I was wrong. I donโt know if it was the lack of high end, the mono sound, or a mix of the two, but I couldnโt stand the sound from the Bose, and it had to go back. Now back in the market for another Bluetooth speaker, I knew I wanted something comparable in size to the Bose and our old speaker, but that had the capability to customize the sound and broadcast in stereo. This speaker fit the bill. Comparing this speaker side by side to the Bose, the Bose has a slight advantage to my ears in terms of raw volume and bass. If I didnโt have them side by side however, I donโt think I would ever notice. Both were clearly better than our old speaker. No side by side was needed for that. After downloading the SoundLink app, customizing the sound to my liking was very simple. I was able to crank the high end where I couldnโt on the Bose. I was able to hear those cymbals and screaming guitar solo in rock music like you should in person. I can hear the high registers on violins and flutes in classical music like you should. Iโm sure audiophiles will scoff at me, but I like to hear music the way I like to hear it. This speaker let me do just that. The โBassUpโ feature in my opinion is just kind of a gimmick. From what I can tell, all it does is pull down the highs. Again, this speaker has a equalizer on the app to adjust everything the way you want anyway. Placing the speaker in a corner or right in front of a wall gives more felt bass in my experience. The battery makes it at high volume for an entire eveningโs campfire, so that works for me. Iโm sure it would make an 8-10 hour day at a reasonable volume. The exterior felt more high end on the Bose, but this speaker is not bad at all. Both feel much more luxurious than our old Doss. It is noticeably heavier than our old speaker and the Bose if that matters to you. That being said, none of them feel like you are carrying a lead bar. The sound that comes from all speakers this size and weight absolutely amazes me! The slim shape makes it really easy to slip in a big pocket or bag or just carry. The build feels very solid all around. I havenโt dropped it yet, but if itโs anything like our old speaker, I am sure it would survive all but the worst falls. Iโve had no problem with Bluetooth connectivity, and it is quick to connect. At this point, I have no real complaints in sound or functionality. I think we found a keeper.

That's very nicely balanced sound coming from a very small box-I'm not a Bose guy anymore
Completely satisfied. I accidentally purchased this thinking it was a Bose speaker. I was very impressed with how it sounded and was even more impressed with the ease of pairing at. It charged very easily. The charge lasts over several months so far (I don't use it every day). I thought that those finally got this right. I have had Bose portable speakers in two areas of my house. They take forever to charge and the charging port never works on the first try. Sometimes I have to wiggle the wire and sometimes use another cable to get it to charge. The speakers are good but dialogue and words on songs are muffled. So I thought that Bose finally got it right. A speaker that sounds beautiful, holds a charge forever, and appears easily and charges easily. Then I realize that the little letter that I thought was up be on the front of the speaker signifying Bose is not a B, but capital S for sound core! I have been astounded. I bought a less expensive version to put in the bathroom where I had a Bose speaker and it sounds many times better. It is waterproof so I don't have to worry about the accumulated moisture of it being in a bathroom. I'm considering getting one of the more expensive sound course speakers to put in my living room. Can't recommend these highly enough. I've only had them several months but so far they are completely reliable and a joy to listen to. I never thought I would say that I would go with another brand of speakers. While I'm eating my words and I am a sound core guy now. How they put this much sound in such a small speaker for such a reasonable price and have the rest of the features operate flawlessly is a mystery to me and a credit to this company. I also enjoy the base boost button. I keep it on as it creates a great balance of sound and gives it a little more punch but not at all in a way that distorts the sound. I also like that I have been able to listen to podcasts and the moderators voice is clear and crisp (it was muffled on the Bose), and then switch to a range of music and have it sound very complete and enjoyable. Have recommended it to several friends. I think you will enjoy this speaker from your ears to your pocketbook. The look and feel of the speaker is also high quality. It's the whole platter in my opinion.

FELL IN THE POOL
THIS FELL INTO MY POOL TODAY, A YEAR AFTER I BOUGHT IT. I didn't even rescue it right away! I thought my music app paused, so I was waiting for the music to start back up. Finally I went to check my phone and saw the speaker laying in the shallow end of the pool. As soon as I rescued it from the water, I was able to use it again immediately WITH NO DIFFERENCE IN THE EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY!!! It wasn't even momentarily muffled, which was amazing. I've also dropped this repeatedly, I ought to mention that. It was never harmed by dropping it on cement or tile. I've used this for impromptu sidewalk parties outside the club at 4 a.m. It's been soooooo worth my money. I keep it in my backpack along with my power bank to charge it when necessary but it runs for HOURS before it goes dead, I use it several times between charges. Hopefully this review helps you decide what's best for you. This Anker speaker isn't as loud as, yet has much clearer sound, than the big Anker Bluetooth speaker that I purchased for around $120. I use this one way more often, I LOVE IT!

Decent speaker, not for sound quality perfectionists
Not a crazy loud speaker but good enough to fill a big room. Itโs pretty good for $80 which is why Iโve given it 5 stars and I would definitely buy it again. The quality of sound is pretty good however the bass is definitely limited but itโs not of poor quality.

Amazing speaker for its size and price
Another amazing speaker by soundcore, very premium look and build quality. Sound is amazing for a speaker this size, balanced with adequate volume and details. Got it for a very good deal. Highly recommended.

Perfect bluetooth speaker
This is my 3rd Soundcore speaker and I love them. This one is ideal size. I use it for the spa pool and beach and its perfect. Small enough to carry around but solid enough that it feels like it'll stand up to some punishment. Sound quality is excellent. Goes way louder than I'll ever need.

Awesome portable speaker! Read this review if you have an android phone!
**EDIT- Have increased the rating to 5 stars. It's gotten even better with use, the bass response has improved (it was already good) and I've found a nice custom EQ that I like from playing around with the app. See original review below ๐*** The fast version- 4.5 stars out of 5. Amazing sound quality up to 60% then starts to limit bass. Must be in LDAC mode, read below how to get that to work. *Review based on paying 75 pounds*. At full price they drop down to 4 out of 5 stars. The long version- Straight out of the box you immediately appreciate the build quality. Apart from the logo on the front which I can see as being a bone of contention for some (kind of reminds me of the tiktok logo ๐ค) it's built like a tank. Great feeling in the hand, metal front grill and rounded edges make this really backpack friendly. It does weigh 750 grams so it's alot heavier than the speaker it's emulating, but it's got 2x the speaker magnets and the battery is 3 times bigger. All adds up. After fully charging the speaker out of the box (recommend doing that even if it comes with charge it's better for the battery in the long run) you should immediately connect it to your phone and the Soundcore App, as it will prompt you to upgrade the firmware straight away. Nice. But, here's the important part- if you have a android phone and want to use the LDAC codec for the best sound quality you have to go through the app and turn it on. This will prompt you to upgrade your firmware again ๐คฃ (so twice before you even listen to music). THEN, after that update and LDAC is turned on in the Soundcore App, you have to make sure your phone is actually sending information to it via LDAC. To do this you need to go into your Bluetooth settings on your connected device (the speaker) and turn on LDAC mode. I've attached screenshots of how it looks on a Samsung phone, it will be the same or very similar on any other android. If you have an iPhone or can't be bothered to do the above to get the best out of it just know it will default to AAC codec, which is a great codec for iPhones but can cause some connection issues with android phones. The sound quality for me is frankly stunning, really dynamic and full sounding when in "standing mode" facing you. Up to 60-70% volume it's very balanced, after that it starts to lose bass and boost highs and mids. That's all speakers this size, it's just physics. There is a bass up mode, but be warned this does tend to cause a bit of distortion after 60% on certain tracks.. I'm hoping a firmware update sorts that out. I leave it in the signature sound profile, this is the first soundcore speaker I've heard where that actually sounds good! There's is also the aforementioned class leading soundcore app, you can use that to tinker with the EQ to your heart's content. In "lying mode" it's quite nice sounding, it seems to me it goes quite "V" shaped with the sound (boosting bass and highs) to try and cover more area with sound. Does a pretty good job but probably not as good as the speaker it's emulating. In hanging mode it unfortunately sounds pretty terrible haha, I would definitely recommend doing a custom EQ for that. For some reason it seems to turn off the stereo sound and plays in mono, and it also really boosts the mids and highs making it quite harsh. It's probably ok if it's on your backpack facing away from you but I'd hate to be the person behind you on a hike. Overall I really like this speaker, it's a great addition to my two soundcore booms. (Offering something very different sound-wise obviously). IMO for the money this is the best travel speaker available. I'll probably get another one down the line on sale for stereo pairing. I do recommend waiting until it's on offer, at full price it's still worth it but there are bigger speakers for that same money that sound better...
