Interesting Ingredient Mix
When I had a major case of candida years ago, I took formulations that had ingredients such as Caprylic acid, Pau D'Arco, Olive Leaf Extract, Reishi, Chaga, Cat's Claw, Wormwood, and Berberine. All the formulas I took were very effective. Surprisingly, this formula has none of those ingredients. So what does it have? Turkey Tail mushroom reportedly contains compounds that kill harmful pathogens including Candida albicans (yeast). Spirulina has been shown (in animal studies) to promote the growth of healthy bacterial flora in the intestines, which inhibits candida from thriving. As far as the Fermented Blackberries, I am not sure of the claims for that one, as I find little in the literature. Finally, Oregano Leaf contains carvacrol and thymol, two antimicrobial agents. I have been taking this formula and while I do not believe I have a candida overgrowth per se, I do have ongoing gut issues and I thought it couldn't hurt. One thing I found was that I was feeling better on this formula for a while, but my guess is that it was mainly attributable to the Selenium and Zinc that is in there. However it is possible that the rest of the ingredients have done some good too. I no longer have that "peppy feeling" so I'm not sure. All in all, I would say this formula is worth a try, and I like the company. But if it were me, I would also be rotating next with another formula that has some of the more traditional candida-killing ingredients that I listed above.
