Is the only option to turn off the turn signal and or braking features is to disconnect the wiring? Is there a way to turn on and off the turn signal

If the LED lights are still active when you have tried to turn off these two functions, please check if the turn signal wire and brake light function wire are still receiving power. If they are still receiving power, the functions will continue to be active. We recommend correctly installing the turn signal wire to the positive terminal of the turn signal and the brake light function wire to the positive terminal of the brake light or brake lever. Is it possible to only use 8 and not all 12 without messing up the set? If so how can you only use some not all?
