I am an educated individual who has lived in the US for over 20 years. Yet, I benefitted quite substantially form the delivery of the material. The authors worked magic in organizing and categorizing words in some sensible way.

Divided into sections by topic, it teaches vocabulary in daily and common use, particularly in business speech and idioms. I get bored with the usual vocabulary books because they're oriented towards formal speech. For example, a business English book may cover how to write an email, but this book shows the usual vocabulary and expressions, like 'I think we should table this for a while' or 'can somebody here get to the point?' So I use this book often with ESL students who are upper-intermediate and advanced. Have fun!

Cambridge University press always provides excellent educational materials.The third edition of English Vocabulary in Use has been carefully revised, well-organized, entirely updated and made of top quality and colorful paper. Overall it's a good book with a wide range of vocabulary. But pay attention, it's BRITISH ENGLISH. They should've mentioned it somewhere on the description.

Ottimo libro per chi vuole eccellere nella lingua inglese. In particolare, è presente per ogni argomento alcune parole che possono rivelarsi utili per farsi l'esame e dimostrare di possedere un'ottima conoscenza della lingua. Esercizi molto utili che aiutano a fissare i termini.
