Beautiful, huge, quality, affordable sink!
I LOVE this sink! We've been using it in our newly remodeled kitchen for 2 months and I have mostly praise for it: **Pros: 1) AFFORDABLE! We priced out the competition with fewer features (no grate or drain mechanism) at much higher price points ($799+, and then + accessories). I wouldn't claim this sink is higher quality than one of the higher-end competitors, but it certainly seems like a better value. It's a quality sink, very durable and looks amazing. 2) HUGE. I mean really, really big. I knew the dimensions when I ordered it but visualizing the size and actually seeing it installed surprised me. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But be prepared for the size. It holds even my largest cutting boards and roasters for easy cleaning. I don't wash loads of dishes in it so I haven't attempted to fill it up but if you hand wash dishes frequently you might want to consider how much water it will take to get enough in there to wash dishes. 3) It's beautiful. It's sleek, has clean lines and just really looks great! I've received multiple compliments already. I'm all about function over beauty, but I'll admit that I just love the look of this sink. 4) Cleans easily and is scratch-resistant. I cook a lot and am tough on all of my kitchen tools, including my sink. It's only been two months but I've banged plenty of pots/pans/roasters in it (Thanksgiving) and my husband has even cleaned a few paintbrushes in it (much to my horror!). It cleans up nicely on a daily basis and tougher spots buff out quickly. It seems like it will withstand quite a beating with a reasonable amount of wear. 5) It's packaged amazingly well! I unpacked everything upon arrival to inspect it and it was perfect...the sink was in a nice, soft bag surrounded by foam with the other parts in a separate box packed away from the sink. I've had glassware delivered with less protection! **Things to consider (these are not "Cons" for me, but might be for others): 6) It has a very interesting strainer mechanism, one I was not expecting at all. It's kind of like a deep hinge-handled "basket" that catches your scraps. The stopper is a separate piece. I like it. I don't typically fill my sink so just having the strainer option is a plus. Plus the basket holds more and is easier to clean than the traditional style (no center post to work around). And when I insert it I don't inadvertently put it in the "stop" position and have to reposition it. Some people will like this, some won't. I personally think it's a plus. 7) The grate is a snug, perfect fit. I'm so, so happy I read almost every review and question before purchasing! I read that the grate is tight and could be an issue if you have stone counters with a lip. When they came to template for Quartz I was very specific to tell them I needed a straight cut for the sink, no overlap at all. Their standard was a small lip. Had they done that I most certainly would have run into issues with the grate (I would need to tilt it when removing or cleaning underneath). As long as you consider this and plan accordingly, it is not an issue. I love the modern look of the flush cut sink and would absolutely do it again. However I would have been very annoyed if my stone had been cut with a standard lip and I was struggling with the grate daily. 8) I'm going to jump back to the size for a minute. It's long, wide and deep. Which I love. But the depth come with a small price. A) if, like me, you were hoping for a single/double pull out garbage for under your sink, good luck with that. I've tried 3 brands/sizes and because of the depth of this sink, they don't fit by as little as 1/8". If anyone finds one to fit a standard height kitchen base cabinet please message me!! I have had no luck so have a freestanding barrel under the sink. Bummer, but not a dealbreaker. B) I am 5'6" and if I'm washing many dishes in the sink it can take a toll on your back. You are definitely reaching down into the sink to get your work done. Taller folks might want to consider this when purchasing. ** Cons: 9) As many reviewers have already stated, the pitch in this sink isn't enough to move the food and water into the strainer. You WILL swirl items around with a sprayer a few time and then probably still have to use a sponge to coerce the scraps away. It's annoying. I don't like it and I wish it was designed differently. HOWEVER, I love almost everything else about this sink so much that I can overlook this flaw. Summary: With a few exceptions, this is a wonderful sink. Considering the (comparably) reasonable price tag, I'm willing to accept the flaws in exchange for it's affordable beauty and functionality. I would purchase it again.

Great sink for the price
Love this sink. It's high-quality, beautiful, quiet, and huge. I'm torn about the grid that comes with it. On one hand, it allows water to drain under the dishes and protects the bottom of the sink. On the other hand, pieces of food get caught up in it and make it difficult to keep the sink clean. As others have said, the sink doesn't drain wonderfully, something I was aware of when I purchased it. It's not quite graded enough. You can chase everything down with water, but that tends to waste water, so I've just been lifting the grid on one side and using my hand to quickly sweep everything down. To me it's a small price to pay for an otherwise totally terrific sink. It is large enough to stack dishes on one side with room to rinse things on the other and I'm able to wash large pans in it with no problem. It's very solid and very quiet, as I mentioned before. I am very pleased with it overall and would buy it again.

Excellent!
Installed this commercial grade sink in my church kitchen. ÈVeryone loves it, especially for its quality and size. Love that bottom grate, too. NEVER A spot of rust and easy to clean. Put in two of these now.

Very nice sink at an excellent price point.
Review date 2/9/17: Excellent value for a sink that appears very well constructed with high attention to detail. I'm pleased with this purchase especially for the price paid. ONLY feedback would be on the drain assembly included. Before I get into that let me say that overall the design and stainless construction of the drain interior appear to be very well done. Assuming the metallurgy is the same as claimed by the sink manufacturer the drain assembly should give many years of rust free dutiful service. The feedback portion relates to the plastic piece that fits under the sink and secures the interior drain - I personally think that should be stainless as well. And secondly there was no tool included that fit into the slot for the screw that connects the top portion to the underside. Not a huge deal for those who have a decent set of tools on hand (I used a chisel to serve as an extra large straight slot screwdriver and it worked out well). All in all, especially when you compare quality vs cost this is an excellent purchase so far. If we start to experience issues I will update this review at a later date with those details. Update: Oct 2019 still 5 stars but bottom grid a PITA. Sink still works amazing, no rust but has gotten a few minor battle scars. Bottom dish grid great to protect the finish but is starting to rust, note to the sink - just the removal grid. Wish it were easier to find the exact match. But otherwise still an excellent purchase at a great value.

SS sink, love it but it's got a pitted area which is rusting
Love the sink but have one problem. We did a kitchen remodel, purchased the sink in Feb. 2015. It arrived quickly, we opened the box, all looked good so we set aside for when the contractor would need it. We assumed within the month. Turns out our contractor was a loser and didn't get the thing installed until late June however the kitchen was no where near done to be able to use it. We ended up parting ways with that contractor and found another to finish the job. He did an excellent job even though he was booked solid and had to fit us in on days where he had holes in the schedule. The kitchen is finished and we've started using it (early October) - there is a pitted area in the bottom of the sink and it has started to rust. I am not sure who to contact about this because according to my order, the latest date for return was March. The sink was in a box at that point. I'm not sure how to fix this and don't know who to contact - so that's where my main complaint lies. I love the sink and will be looking for ways to repair this area - hopefully I can repair it. It looks great and the price for 16 AWG SS was really competitive. Update: Barkeeper's Friend took care of the spot I was concerned about. After using this sink for over a year now, I love it! It has held up well and is easier to keep up with than most SS products I own (ie - fridge, bar fridge, dishwasher) I have updated my review to 4 stars since it's held up so well. I wish the slope to the drain was a little steeper, that's the only thing keeping this sink from getting 5 stars.

Top notch quality
I normally don't leave reviews, but this is one well deserved. I believe, if a product is quality, a review is well deserved. Trust me, I am sincere about what I write. I was so glad that I chose Kraus for my kitchen sink. It came in a day early and I was really excited to see it. I've done kitchen and bath remodeling for over 35 years and of the many sinks I've installed, this really tops them all. If you are looking for a design to choose, make sure to choose Kraus and the 16 gauge is exactly what they say, solid. We are excited to get out quartz countertops done so I can get the next stage done. One other awesome thing is I was able to reach out to customer service, as explained on the envelope, and tell them of the fantastic quality. I just happened to not have the drain cover in the well sealed bubble wrap. One email to customer service and giving them the information needed and right then the service was knocked out of the park with 100% quality customer service. I will be receiving it soon. Thank you Kraus Customer Service.

Beautiful but a tricky plumbing job
First the good. This sink is beautiful. The rack on the bottom works perfectly and the noise dampening is great. It never sounds hollow and even the disposal is quiet. There is so much room in it.....more room than I ever knew I wanted.that comes in handy pretty much every day. Now the bad..ish. None of this is actually bad. It's more forewarning. You should note before buying that this sink is probably a lot deeper than you're used to and that can make mounting a disposal pretty tricky. Plumbing this after it was installed under our new granite was a chore and far more complicated than I ever anticipated. This is the first single basin sink I've had so this may be typical, but water does not drain all that well out of the bottom. It's not really a problem, but if you have hard water you will be cleaning deposits off of it regularly. That's nothing that can't be solved with some Bar Keepers Friend and a rag, but this sink does require a little more maintenance. The rack on the bottom is really useful. It protects the metal bottom from pots and pans, dishes, etc and allows everything to drain nicely. It is, however, a pain in the rear to clean since it doesn't fit in a dishwasher and it does get covered in grime, food, hard water stains, etc.. it's well made no a little elbow grease get it shiny and new again, but that does take a little time. Don't let any of that dissuade you though. We get compliments on this sink every time someone steps into our kitchen and it's great living with it.

This is it
We love this sink. I picked this out because my parents had recently remodeled their kitchen and used this exact sink. So naturally, when we bought a new house and remodeled I remembered this sink. After looking at all of the Blanco, Elkay, Kohler, and various other sinks, we decided to get this one. It is a truly unbelievable value considering the heavy gauge of the steel, the build quality, and all of the "freebies" that come with it. My parents don't use the grate in the bottom of their sink (instead they use it as a rack to sit things on under the sink) but we do, and it works great. Prevents gunk from building up under pots and pans when they are sitting for a long time. The drain that comes with this sink is better quality than almost anything else you'll find. Even 5 star products have things to look out for. Some people may not like the small radius and flattish bottom to the sink. It does make it slightly more difficult to rinse out but definitely not a big deal whatsoever. Did I mention that this sink is a statement piece? It is extra deep and is quite large. We get lots of comments and questions about it. People don't believe me when I tell them how well priced this sink is.

Stunning!
I finally was able to install this sink a few months ago, now that my kitchen renovations are done. This sink is large and beautiful. I have had a lot of compliments on it. I love the grate that comes with it and the little basket to catch the food. The grate allows sitting pots and pans to not touch the bottom of your sink, same with sharp utensils that may scratch. The basket has a little handle to easily pull out and put back in so that you can throw out food particles. I have been using this for a few months now and I have zero complaints.

Love It!! Great product and materials.
We installed this sink in the "under mount" profile. Fantastic product, lots of room to work, soak all our large pots, pans, cookie sheets...., it all fits. Deep profile is the best. I would install another sink like this in any home, any time. Purchased the 16 Gauge (it is thicker than the 18 Gauge) with the 18/10 material spec, this provides 18% of Chromium and 10% of nickel, this will provide better corrosion resistance. Our purchase also came with the soap pump (nicely machined product) and the vegetable strainer tray. Love it!!

extremely well built
it's huge and lots of features like the standard grate that comes with it. It helps make the kitchen stand out and people comment on it all the time. Nice to be able to put lots of extra dishes in there when you have house guests without having to put everything on the counter. It has thick metal and under the sink mount. Had it now for almost 3 years and still loving it. You won't regret it.
