These steal knives are not only beautiful, but they are also really sharp. They are the best steak knives we have ever had. They have a Damascus finish and are very sturdy. The handle makes a perfect grip. I was amazed at how the knife cut through my steak without pulling or tearing the meat. They have to be hand washed and although they are the most expensive steak knives we've bought, they are well worth the money!

Great "every-day" knives whenever you need something sharper than a regular dinner knife, but don't want to use your expensive high-quality chef knives. Well priced, very sharp, great comfortable handle. Love that they come in a set of 8! We wash these by hand to keep them sharp and new for longer. I like them so much I bought a second set for when these wear out. Exactly what I was hoping for, in that they'll get used daily and get a lot of wear, and inexpensive enough to make them easy to replace. Couldn't be happier with them!

Excellent knives look great and very sharp!

I'm rating these steak knives against only other steak knives I've seen and/or purchased. I would not consider these knives in the upper class of knives like Kramer or Dalstrong, they perform their job well and have a very good "hand feel". The knives arrived with a good edge and seem to hold it well, As advertised, the handles are real wood and very lightweight. I know the wood is real as I oiled them and by morning the oil had been fully absorbed. I suggest requent oiling to avoid the wood spliting or harboring bacteria. All in all, a good price for a good set of knives.

Beautiful set of steak knives. I was in desperate need of new steak knives as my old ones were at least 25 yrs old. These filled the bill perfectly. They fit solidly in your hand, the wooden handles are gorgeous, and cut through steak like butter. They also come in a nice box that I continue to use to store them. I am buying a second set as a gift for my sister. Good purchase.

"High-Carbon Japanese Stainless Steel", the ad says. On the knife blade it reads, "German high carbon stainless steel" How do we trust anything about the claims of these knives, like the steel grade? They might be great, but i just returned a set of knives when one of the blades snapped in my hand as i attempted to clean it. 3 stars hoping the quality is good. 2 stars deducted for lying.

The handles are very big and bulky. It makes the knife feel cheap. Returning these.
