Know Yourself Prompt Cards: Cards for Self Exploration

I ordered the Know Yourself Prompt Cards: Cards for Self Exploration Cards – October 31, 2023. I mainly ordered them to use with my intuitive work and other cards, but they are great for self-exploration as well as growing relationships and learning about one another. Interestingly enough, the first card I read asked about my most favorite thing I did as a child and if I get those feelings now and a few weeks ago I started to do exactly that with intentions of creating a career out of it. Anyway, besides for self, this is great to do with a partner, friend or even your children. However, there are a couple cards that are not age appropriate, so you would have to pull them out before you start. The cards are pretty thick which I appreciate, and these are helpful and I appreciate them, thank you.

I wasn't really sure what to expect with these cards. I didn't know if they would be for personal use, conversation starters in a new relationship or maybe road trip questions with friends. After getting them - my husband and I had some down time, so I started going though the cards. Maybe because we are older (53 / 52) and have already been together for over 20 years - we pretty much knew how we would both answer the questions. Even still, it was nice just sitting down going though the cards. Some of them could seem too serious for fun questions with friends though - so i am really not sure how I would use these on a regular basis. One of the descriptions I read somewhere said for self discovery - but I think that if you are going to go though these, you might need to bounce some of the responses off of someone else. That way you have a little more accountability to really, truly answer the questions otherwise it would be super easy to just give a shallow response without really digging into yourself for a true answer. as for the cards set itself - it comes packaged in a little flip top box and they are printed on a good weight card stock.

I picked up the Know Yourself Prompt Cards: Cards for Self Exploration, as I had come out of some lifetime cognitive dissonance with leaving the religion that I was brought up in. In my mid-life now, I am finally allowing myself to consider what do "I" think about what I want, need, the relationships in my life, society, and life in general, which I hadn't allowed myself to truly think before, having consumed myself about what others think and maintaining appearances to be accepted. Some of the questions or prompts question things that may be quite simple or obvious, but when you really think about them, there are can be some depth to the answers you find within yourself. I take out a card a day to reflect, and sometimes discuss with others, then move on to the next the following day. It's a new routine I have that has grounded me, in a sense, and helped me with my transition out of the toxic religion of my former life.

These cards are so negative. They pose a question on one side and show two negative responses on the flip. Some of the cards even talk about pornography which is so inappropriate. I bought these for my wife, and thankfully not a friend or family member, for Christmas thinking they’d be fun and positive. Boy was I wrong. She read five, was shocked at how negative and closed minded it was, and we put them back in the box and returned them.

Great quality card stock. The questions are interesting. If read in order the questions start out with low intensity and grow more interesting as I worked through the deck. I had to laugh at the Rorschach question about personality. You either see aggression or a vagina :) overall I think this is a great get to know yourself deck of cards.

These prompt cards are thought-provoking and help me with little thought exercises when journaling. I love that the prompts are open-ended and that they aren't written in a biased way. This makes for a great gift for anyone who is trying to find themselves (perhaps again).

These cards have helped me daily to give me ideas on self discovery and journaling. There are 60 cards, that is plenty of material to work with all year. They are great.

Great fun and thought provoking product. Wonderful idea as a gift. Very unusual.

I shuffled 10 times in a row and got sexual related questions or questions that asked me to think of my negative traits or dark side. Not recommended for people not ready to answer things like this.
