Would these work for storing a DNA sample long term?

That product has not been validated for use with DNA storage. A Tris EDTA buffer would be more suitable for long-term DNA storage, which we do not offer.

These tubes are designed to capture and maintain cells during initial sampling, so they work as a temporary holding solution while transporting a sample to the lab for further testing. If this is what you need, the product should work fine for this purpose. However, if you need a product to culture cells (i.e. incubate and increase cell numbers) or test for fermentation capability, we would not recommend this particular product.
