“Little Pilgrim’s Big Journey” by Tyler Van Halteren has quickly become a favorite in our household. I’ve never seen another children’s book series like this—each chapter not only tells an engaging, beautifully illustrated story but also includes a summary that ties everything back to Scripture. It’s such a creative and effective way to teach kids about God while keeping them entertained. My kids absolutely love the adventures of Little Christian and his journey to the Celestial City. The story is captivating, and they’re constantly asking me to read “just one more chapter.” I love how it sparks their imaginations and makes them think deeply about their own walk with God. The summaries at the end of each chapter are a game-changer. They make it so easy to connect what we’ve read to real-life applications and the teachings of the Bible. As a parent, I appreciate how this series is both spiritually rich and engaging for kids. Great for sharing the gospel with younger children as it allows for a wonderful narrative and also object lessons that are applicable to real life. Beautifully illustrated. Suitable for younger children too as parents can adapt the discussion questions at the end of each chapter. Makes for a perfect gift also!

All of this author’s books are astoundingly good. My 3 year old is on fire for the King after reading vol III, myself too!! I am buying whatever this author publishes. Order this trilogy - you WILL NOT be disappointed!

This is the third book in the series and my kids ask for it every night! The story is so great for explaining the idea of salvation, Jesus, the devil, the kingdom of God, suffering and eternal life. I am so grateful for these books! And they are beautiful! They won’t hold up forever but when kids are using them that’s to be expected I think.

This is such a great book! It's the 3rd and final in the series. Excellent quality binding (but it will break if your child throws it 🥴), beautiful illustrations, and great chapter discussion questions to gauge reading comprehension and facilitate discussion. This would make a beautiful gift but is also great to have at home for a regular read aloud book.
