Great stereo for the price
Iโm really happy with this stereo. The touchscreen is responsive and display looks good. It has the apple CarPlay that automatically connects to my phone. Installation was much easier than I thought and it fits my 350Z nicely. I like that you can customization the boot-up screen and the ability to connect my aftermarket subwoofer. It gives the interior of my car a more modern look. Overall, a solid upgrade, good price and exactly what I was looking for. ๐

JUNK
Piece of junkโฆ Customer service is average. They offer solutions to problems that you shouldnโt have to even be dealing with while driving. Completely defeats the purpose of safe driving. Physically, the product feels very solid however, my installer had a difficult time getting the wire harness to work properly as it kept shorting out either on the power end or the speaker connections. At some point it finally started working. However, the problems that followed are unacceptable. For one it will intermittently freeze at least once a month if not more and when it does this, itโs basically stuck as if itโs a broken record. There is no way to turn it off unless you pull over somewhere safely and turn your car off and even then it stays on for about 10 to 15 seconds. When I brought this to their attention, they recommended that I push the reset button, which is extremely tiny using a paper clip. Like Iโm supposed to be doing that while Iโm on the road. If I were on the highway, I would be stuck having to listen to this broken record, which lasts at least about five minutes until the system finally reboot. The other problem has to do with Bluetooth connectivity. While CarPlay seems to be OK and the responsiveness of the screen is good. It will not transmit certain types of audio clearly for instance, if I am listening to music and using GPS, it seems to be fine with voiceover. But if I ask it to dictate a text message, that audio will come out completely choppy and nearly inaudible. This happens 98% of the time. 2% no problem. I already went through all of the firmware and software update updates that were current and brought these issues to the attention of the manufacturer. They claimed that the updates will probably resolve these issues however nothing has changed. The other issue is that the microphone is also garbage. It is barely audible for anyone you are talking with, and I usually have to switch the phone to speaker but then the unit continues to pull it back to CarPlay every few minutes which is absolutely aggravating while you were on the road. There is no way to disable. Itโs connectivity to the CarPlay. At this point it is a useless piece of junk in my dashboard. The software platform is good enough and it is very responsive, but overall hardware and software is completely unreliable. Iโm sure most people look at the price and will read this review thinking well what did you expectโฆ But itโs always worth giving it a shot. Either way Iโm gonna have to research and purchase a new one of a more reputable brand. Unfortunately this was purchased before I had a family emergency that consumed several months of my life and it is no longer eligible for return as it was installed about a year after purchase. I love the size of the screen, but the rest of it is junk.

Good radio, wireless CarPlay and great customer service.
Did not last. Bought in 2024. Installed this on my 2017 Sprinter RV Class C Motorhome. Only used a few trips. Works great at first but probably on the fourth long trip, thats when the radio started acting up. It would lose the screen, just black, after a while it would the screen would come on again, car play would not connect, tried different cables, at one point carplay connected for 2 minutes then stop connection, blue tooth kept disconnecting every time we turn off the car, there's still power when in accessory. The latest is trip was on 8/15/26 and the radio screen was just black, no icons. After driving for 15 minutes, we turn power on and the screen was there, at least we were able to bluetooth the music. Would not recommend nor buy this again. Updated. 9/2/26, i updated my review to 5 stars. Why. The company stand by their product and sent me a replacement for free. The new radio works well and has new features. Wireless CarPlay. Better and louder sound quality. For the features of the radio and the companyโs backing up their product, they deserve the 5 stars.

Not bad for price, but Audio Quality needs improvement for sure.
-So far everything works great! Install was easy and fit like a glove in my 99 Buick without having to trim anything. Bought a Kit for bracket was simple as always. I really like the Video playback settings, So I can control even when driving for my passengers. I Installed the Unit yesterday and Talked with PLZ Support through Facebook to get the latest updates.. Let me tell you seems like its extra steps or a pain, but they made this easy with very detailed instructions in English throughout the entire Install & Update, was quite surprised honestly. I Got a New boot Logo for my Vehicle Show it shows a Buick Logo on startup, along with the most recent updates. Android Auto works decent wireless so far. USB can also watch Video playback as well easily, and looks great! Had to Convert all my Movies to 720p around 800bit through VLC and for free. Now i have any movie I want to watch on the go. The Mirror App works, though I haven't played around to much to figure out settings for Netflix or Prime wont show anything but black screen on the Head Unit while mirroring. So far for the Price of this Unit and the Customer Service being so quick to respond and help. I give it *4 Stars and will keep updated if any changes. -UPDATE: I'm picky so to me these things matter. When Connected to Android Auto, Youtube Music works and sounds fine. But when making calls through Android Auto or Bluetooth, on Phone, FB, Navigation, or any other App than Youtube Music, I'm getting high pitched distortion which is a bit of a bummer.. Audio Quality goes from good from Music to Bad in Calls or Navigation quick which i use a lot.. I had to to re-do my Subwoofer RCA connection, as i went straight to the Green Subwoofer hookup on the unit, instead of the normal L & R Red & White RCA Audio. Sub sounded great, but It randomly makes my Sub pop when i start the car so I switched and lost sub controls which is a bummer. But rather not have my Sub blow from popping.. The Quality of Audio on Calls and Nav being poor is a bit a bummer so far while Wireless. Will mess around and see if i can tune it better, also need to replace my Tweeters/Speakers before i give up on it and buy something else, and will keep updated, and I will change my stars if i can fix these issues.. Sound Quality in my last Head Unit was a Pioneer, and didn't sound bad using AUX at all. So, I will buy new Speakers/Tweeters since I need them anyways and mess with settings a little more, and will try out AUX as well, But that defeats my purpose of needing Wireless.. Id prefer not to have to buy any adapters. Also hoping the Unit lasts without issues as i saw a few reviews mention not connecting after a few months, and will definitely keep yall updated. UPDATE: Bought bad ass Speakers and Tweeters sound great and not the issue at all.. The unit just has POOR Audio Quality even while using Auxiliary. Customer Service told me to mess with EQ settings which believe me I have.. Its a cheap unit so if I want Quality guess I have to pay for it. Which goes up quite a bit. So if you want a quick cheap setup that works alright, its decent but for a permanent solution I think I'll have to return because I use my radio all day long delivering and the Quality being poor gives me a headache.

It was a very nice upgrade
It works well for me, but it is not perfect. I think that it is definitely worth the price point. Sometimes it has little operational glitches, like not connecting to your phone or audio while using the GPS. It doesnโt bother me enough to write a scathing review about it. The device has physical buttons, which was a must for me because I have had the digital sensor buttons break on me in the past. It comes with a microphone and a backup camera that need to be installed with the radio, but it does allow you to use Siri and install a backup camera on a base model vehicle like mine. I bought the device to tryout Apple CarPlay as all of my friends tell me itโs the best thing ever and I am satisfied with what I got. The device supports androids equivalent to CarPlay, but I have never used it because I do not have an android. My iPhone normally automatically connects to the radio as soon as my car is turned on, which really makes access very easy. I can just ask Siri to play music or get directions from there. Iโve had it installed for about five months now and itโs holding up well.

Great Radio and Excellent Customer Support
I installed the PLZ MP-902W in my 2010 Ford E-450 work truck, and so far I am very impressed with it. The display is bright and crisp, the menus are easy to navigate, and the wireless Apple CarPlay has worked great. I really like the amount of customization available. You can set separate display brightness levels for daytime and nighttime, choose different colors for the button illumination, and set a default startup volume. That last one is especially nice because if you shut the vehicle off with the audio turned up, you can set the radio to come back on at a reasonable volume instead of blasting when you start the vehicle again. Installation was straightforward. My recommendation is to purchase the correct vehicle-specific installation kit and wiring harness for your vehicle before starting. This makes the installation much more of a plug-and-play process. Match the wire colors from the radio harness to the corresponding wires on the vehicle-specific adapter harness, make your connections, and install the radio. I used solder-and-shrink butt connectors on my harness, and once the wiring was completed, the rest of the installation was very easy. One thing that really stood out to me was PLZโs customer support. They responded quickly to my questions and were very helpful throughout the process. I asked about updating the software and whether a custom boot-up image was possible. They provided the appropriate firmware for my MP-902W and actually incorporated my custom image into the firmware. The firmware update itself was very easy to perform. PLZ provided clear written instructions along with a video showing the installation process. After sending the firmware, they even followed up with me to ask how the upgrade went and whether I needed any help before I even had a chance to perform the update. That kind of follow-through impressed me. The custom boot-up screen turned out great and is a fun personal touch. Overall, Iโm very happy with the MP-902W so far. It has a bright display, easy-to-use interface, excellent Apple CarPlay performance, plenty of useful customization options, and, most importantly, the company has been very responsive and helpful when I needed them. For the price, Iโm very happy with the radio and my experience with PLZ. Small update. I installed the backup camera to the front camera port and installed the camera in the box of my truck so I can easily make sure the rear door is closed without having to get out and check.

Excellent Android Head Unit and Great Tech Support
The item arrived within the time period it was expected. It comes with brackets and a bezel, but the brackets didn't fit my car. The package also included a trim removal tool. I installed the unit after I obtained a wiring harness and brackets for my 2005 Ford Focus from Amazon. The documentation made wiring the head unit to the wire harness easy. After installation, all the sections of the unit work well including the AM/FM, USB, Bluetooth, Microphone and Android Auto sections. My phones run Android 9 and 10, so Wireless Android Auto didn't work because it requires Android 11 and higher. Wired works. Wireless Android Auto worked with a phone running Android 14. Hands free calling worked and the PLZ head unit makes the 20 year old speakers in the Focus sound better than they ever have. Tech support has been great. I requested the Ford boot up logo from them. They asked for some information about the unit I received and were able to determine I needed two updates. The updates and the instructions were sent via email, and after they were done one at a time, I got the Ford logo on boot up. The only problem I had after installation was the unit flashing at times. Tech support was contacted and we were able to determine that it was caused by the aftermarket wire harness sending insufficient voltage to the unit when the headlights were turned on. It turns out the wire harness was sending voltage from the dash brightness knob, not the headlight switch. I usually have the dash at a very dim level at night. Turning up the dash brightness to full triggered the unit to change to night mode. I was able to get the dash illumination knob to a position where the dash was a little brighter than I usually have it, but it still triggered the unit into night mode. Sometime in the future, I'll wire the head unit to the headlight switch at the dash instead of the illumination knob. I wanted an extension cable for the installation of the backup camera, and tech support was able to give me a link to one sold on Amazon. I had told an acquaintance that I was going to install an Android Auto head unit in the car some time ago. I showed him a picture of the PLZ head unit installed in the Focus. He came outside his office to look at it and was impressed at how well it looked in the dash. He said he was going to do the same with his 2002 Ford pickup truck. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase of the PLZ head unit and excellent support provided by the PLZ Tech Support Team.

It's as great as you pay for. Not crappy, not overly amazing.
I installed this radio about a year ago, and so have had plenty of time and use to learn this things quirks and features. I'll go into more detail below, but to sum it up, you get exactly what you pay for. This thing is a lot better than the $50 cheapo no name touchscreen units, but it's definitely not kenwood quality. It has occasional glitches and bugs, and isn't a bad unit for the price if you're willing to put up with that from time to time. SCREEN: Honestly, the display itself isn't bad at all. Looks great, usually bright enough, but may do better with a matte screen cover, as it has glare, because glossy. Good colors and pretty crisp for the price. The ratcheting slide to adjust it up and down doesn't seem to want to hold it up on anything other than smooth pavement after while though, as it ever so slowly lowers itself when I hit backroads. Not a big deal, I'm sure something could be rigged to fix that if need be. Screen 9/10. SOUND: Also not bad for the price. It puts out enough power for your standard speakers in most cases, and anyone looking at this radio instead of the expensive name brand units would probably be happy with the sound. The software/menus are missing some settings that could make things sound better. Read on to see what I mean. Sound quality 6/10. SETTINGS/FEATURES: There is no high pass filter setting for your door/deck speakers. It's full pass through, so higher volumes can distort the sound if you don't adjust the EQ some, for those that listen louder. However the EQ also affects the subwoofer output, so dianing down the bass some in EQ to save your door speakers also dials down the bass to the subs, meaning you may have to compensate for that with your amp, which that method won't be perfect. Most users might be satisfied but I'm a little annoyed by this missing feature. It also doesn't have a way to disable the low pass filter to the sub outputs, and only has 3 settings , ranging from 50hz to 120hz. Again, many may not care, but this makes me grumble some. These are basic settings seen even in $30 Walmart stereos, and should really be included. Settings are pretty easy otherwise. Really wish there was a way to adjust the brightness on the bottom buttons. Otherwise anything other than red is too bright at night. Settings and features 3/10. SOFTWARE: This is the main part of my "you get what you pay for" point. It works fine....most of the time. It has its glitched and bugs. Like when it turns on and connects to carplay, every once in a while, I'll notice it refuses to activate Siri or play music. That usually means it's about to crash out on carplay, and the only way I've found to fix that is to turn the car off, let the radio power down, then restart. That fixes it, until it happens again a few days or weeks later. Another one is all be jamming out while driving, and the radio just hard locks, as in unresponsive to everything, and the audio glitches out and starts looping the same last half second of what you were just listening to, over and over and over. Again, only thing that fixes this is powering the radio off by theuong off the ignition. This one is a little more rare but it happens from time to time. You can't even mute it or adjust the volume while it's glitched out like that. I use this car for several hours a day, several starts a day, as I'm a delivery driver, and I'll deal with the first bug maybe every other day, and the second bug maybe every other week. So for those with less frequent use, it may not be so bad. It works fine majority of the time. Better than the 50 dollar no name one I had a while back but not close to pioneer quality there. Idk if it's worth mentioning but I use wired carplay most of the time since it's more reliable and responsive than wireless. Software 4/10. SUPPORT: Support was very friendly, but you can tell English isn't their first language. When I first got the radio, they were more than happy to get me a Toyota boot logo and the update files. When I had issues with FM radio being louder than carplay audio, they also were very quick to help me adjust that by giving me the codes to unlock deeper settings. (Code is 666999 under "factory set" for those who need to do the same, but be careful and know what you're doing. Gain settings.) If only deeper settings included more HPF and LPF options...which I asked them about and if they planned on adding that in any update. They couldn't seem to give me a clear answer. Given the OS on this radio appears to just be a slightly more stable version of the very same OS on some of the no name Chinese $50 touchscreen radios, I would not hold my breath. Since it's been about a year, I'll ask support if there's any updates now and report back. Support is friendly and mostly helpful, but limited as to feedback. Support 8/10. LONG TERM RELIABILITY: So, as I've said, I'm a delivery driver, so I use this thing daily, and lots. I've had it for about a year before I wrote this whole review. How has it help up? Well, the bugs seem to have gotten slightly more frequent, but again, not unbearable for the cost...I guess. Again, I'll ask about updates from support and see what happens there too. The radio is more or less the same as it was when I got it. The ratcheting mechanism that slides the screen ui or down has gotten ever so slightly weaker, so it slowly lowers on bumpy roads, but nothing that can't be rigged where you want it like I said earlier. The volume knob...it's gotten very iffy and is losing reliability. Rapidly spinning it back and fourth for a few seconds helps sometimes, and I may try electronic cleaner spray to see if that helps. Thats the downside of volume knobs, they're moving parts. I'll report back there. But overall it still works 9out of 10 times that I start the car without issues. And if those bugs come up, a restart fixes that too. Reliability 6/10. I hope this helps people make an informed decision. UPDATE: So there were updates available. That didn't seem to fix my issues, nor add anything new. So yeah, my review stands. Also, the sheet metal L brackets that come with it to mount have started to tear, but it's been over a year and I live on rough roads. Still...YMMV. It's not the worst radio but you get what you pay for. If someone can reverse engineer this thing easy enough this could be awesome.
