I was a little disappointed with this guide. Lots of good stuff about Key West and what to do, see where to eat and drink and its probably worth the money for that alone.My problem is that there is no guidance on what's good or not at the places to stop at on the drive down on a location basis. No photos either and the maps are very small.

This book covers a lot, including history, geography, wildlife, culture, destinations, logistics, and much more. For me, traveling to the Keys again soon and wanting to learn more not only about places but their context, and more about the Keys as an ecosystem, the book was a welcome find. Contains lots of specifics on places to visit depending on your interests and is organized nicely for that purpose.

Used this several times on our Spring Break in Marathon Florida and day trips to Key West. I have passed it on to two different co-workers planning snorkeling trips in the Keys. Great travel book for the history too.

A major disappointment. Really, it's just a list of sources for this, that and the other thing. Didn't tell us anything about interesting things to see, off the beaten path points of interest, etc. Basically, a waste of money.

Ok, so I haven't read all of it, but I can't wait to do so! This has everything.. schools, restaurants, real estate agencies, recreation, etc. I bought this because I'm looking at moving to the Keys and wanted something less touristy ..I think this is just that book. Phone numbers, addresses, and great maps. Love this book!
