Frownies Facial Patches for the Corners of the Eyes & Mouth

They work! Haha!!! First night and I slathered my face with them and then realized don’t laugh! It’s like glue and they need to stay on. So word to the wise, get that out and prepare. They stick and aren’t going anywhere until you remove it. I have a deep wrinkle on my chin that showed up this last year and was like.. uhg. Now what! I’d recommend a good cleaning ahead of time and oil remover just to eliminate that part.. I woke up in the morning, removed the frownies and bam! Wrinkle gone! Holy crap! Scan the QR she sends you and watch the video, she tells you how best to apply and for how long. I’m gonna do the 30 day/night and go from there.. last words.. we are all gonna age.. it’s a fact of life.. but small things you can do to prevent early signs of aging and sun damage is a win for me! 47 next month! (Not uploading my face with patches but omg!!! Hilarious!!)

Im giving these 4 starts because the shipping was so fast and unfortunatly my face is too oily and frownies dont stick too well to my face but they allowed me to return it and thats great. I reccomend that everyone tries Frownies because its a great way to reverse signs of aging.

Bummer, I wanted to like it ! The fumes from the glue that goes on the face is so strong. The smell gives me morning headaches every time I use it. I tried to stop and tried another day to make sure it was the issue. And sure thing is the smell that gives headaches. I even tried during the day for a few hours to see if it would be fine. And nope, headache in one hour of use. I could smell the glue. If it gives me headache I was even more concerned of what that chemical overnight on my body will do to my system. No thanks.

Pros- they do work temporarily; just as advertised but it requires EVERY night usage. CONS: 1. they smell TERRIBLE. There’s this faint chocolate smell but it is overpowered by the gross adhesive smell that is activated when you get the patches wet. It is foul, and it lasts until the adhesive dries the patches on your face. So your face has this unpleasant odor for a while - as long as it takes for patches to completely set up and harden. 2. You cannot use any moisturizer at all in the areas where near you apply the patches. They will not stay in place overnight. They might stick for awhile but they won’t last overnight. The adhesive just won’t stay adhered to skin long enough to work as advertised. 3. The target audience is older crowd. That being said, if you have any hand mobility issues, these patches might be difficult to manipulate and hold in place until they set up. The marionette lines from nose down to jaw line require several different patches on each side and TIME to put on where you want them. You have to hold/stretch your skin as you apply the patch and then hold skin until patch hardens up enough and doesn’t slip when you let go. This may prove to be too cumbersome for some people. Plus the smell… The company videos I watched to see how to apply the patches don’t paint a realistic picture of what you have to go through for this area. On the plus side…. I notice a difference every morning in the lines as long as they stay on all night. I also bought the patches for between the eyebrows lines and those are MUCH easier to put on! They also work as advertised and I see a difference each morning with the softening of the lines. 4. Reality check: what I never considered until I applied the patches that first night…. So you come out of the bathroom with all these patches on your face, smelling foul….( Partner looks at me like I’ve lost all sense and I’m thinking that I don’t look (or smell) that great right now. 🙈🙈🙈). I didn’t consider that aspect or impact of what I look like going to bed every night. Also this: my skin color is barely lighter than the patch color and my bangs cover up the between-the-eyebrows triangle patch pretty well. But people who have darker colored or lighter toned skin, these patches will really show up/contrast skin tone! Something to consider before buying. The company should offer different tones of patches. Also you can’t really talk much once these harden because you don’t want them to become loose or detach anywhere. Overall, these patches seem to temporarily soften lines when applied properly. I’ve yet to reach the 30 day mark where you are suggested to wear them only a few times per week, so I’ve been wearing the eyebrow one every night and I see good results so far. Every morning the line is definitely softer, so I do think that the eyebrow patches are worth what I paid. I will keep using those. BUT- the jury is still out on the marionette lines patches. It’s a lot of effort and time to apply those correctly for each side, not to mention the smell (and then there’s the plus of conjuring up images of Frankenstein in my partner’s mind each night when going to bed).🤣 If you’re wanting to try these, I would suggest the “between-the-eyebrows” patches. They are easier to manipulate (and not too obvious). You can also try one of the triangles on your marionette lines to see how you like it. I bought both types and they are very similarly cut patches. The eyebrow patches are very easy to pull apart while the other type patch has some more intricate pull apart lines to deal with.

These Frownies are kind of annoying to apply and actually stay on. I have an extremely oily face and I could NOT get them to stick on. I resulted to wetting them with the rose water Frownies sell and then using a hair dryer to dry them on my face. It felt like I was sticking an old school lick and stick stamp to my face- they even have that weird glue smell. I have heard a lot of good things about Frownies, but I am still on the fence.

I sleep on my side and stomach with my face smooshed in the pillow which is terrible for creating sleep lines. Every morning I wake up with these lines under both my eyes (top left pic) and they don’t really smooth out during the day. These can not be fixed with Botox and I can’t make myself sleep on my back all night so these are the next best thing. I trim the point off and use them as shown in the picture. I wish there was a better fit for under the eye but I’m making it work. They stay on pretty well but do not put any moisturizer (or skin care besides toner) on before placing them bc they will not stay even if you put the moisturizer on far in advanced. I do not understand how they work for wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movement (11 lines, crows feet, and forehead) but they sure as hell work for sleep lines as they keep the skin from folding when my face is in the pillow.

After reading many favorable reviews, I gave it a whirl. The material these are made out of...think paper bag type material with a shiny side that you wet to adhere to your face. You have to really wet these to get them to stick, then really wet them to get them off. I was not able to sleep in them because the ends of the patch would irritate my skin. I noticed maybe a little bit of softening of my wrinkles but gone in a few hours. I found this to be a bit wasteful as a whole, you will go through a box of these quickly. However, I do feel they are safer than the silicone ones which clogs your pores and are useless once they lose their adhesive. If you had a special event you wanted to look extra polished for, then using these prior would perhaps create a smoother look...for a few hours.
