Condor Convoy Outdoor Pack Olive Drab

TL;DR: I love this backpack! I ordered this backpack for a missions trip in Peru. Hiking around the mountains in Cusco and trekking through the streets of Lima. It was durable, compact, had room for what I needed, and is well organized. The belt strap and chest strap are fantastic. It also has good padding, cushion, and comfortable shoulder straps. I also used the MOLLE webbing to attach a Condor first aid kit to the front. My biggest grip is the 2 side pouches are too small if you wanted to zip up a wattle bottle in there. Also, be aware that this isn't the biggest backpack out there. It's closer in size to a typical school backpack. Still, I highly recommend this pack. It took care of me from the time I left my lodgings in the morning till the time I returned in the evening. Perfect size for a full day hike or get back home bag. Pack is very comfortable when loaded. Has more than enough room. By adding a USGI ACU MOLLE II Waist Pack to the bottom you gain another 6.5 liters, turning the entire pack into 28.5 Liters of space. 1 Year later pack is holding up excellent. Very well made.

I want to preface this review by saying this is a small backpack as it is only about 22 liter capacity. The main compartment is approximately 10.5" wide X 5" thick X 18" tall. The top pocket is approximately 10" wide X 2.5" thick X 12" tall. The bottom pocket is about 10" wide X 2.5" thick X 6" tall. The two side pockets are each 7.5" tall X 2.5" thick X 4" wide (not quite large enough for a USGI canteen). There is also a water bladder pocket just behind the back padding, and there is a small pocket behind the MOLLE webbing on the front face that is approximately 8" X 10" and the thickness depends on how full the pack is. All pockets have two zipper pulls except for the last pocket I mentioned behind the front face. Anyway, I purchased this bag to make a bug out bag for a small child. I like that the pack is a small size for a child's frame, has decent capacity, provides decent organization, and it can be expandable via MOLLE attachments. There are three grab handles (top and one on each side). There are four attachment points on the bottom of the pack for securing a tent or bed roll. The pack has four side compression straps. The shoulder straps and back have decent padding. All adjustment straps have Velcro ends to keep excess straps from dangling around. The main compartment opens in a complete clamshell design. The fabric is durable and the build quality is decent. I do wish there were a couple things different about this pack. I wish the two exterior side pockets were a touch larger so they could hold a USGI or similar 1 quart canteen. I also think three grab handles on a bag this small is over kill. It would have been nice if they would have put a couple exterior attachment points (MOLLE or larger straps for securing additional gear). The pack is designed for lighter loads. I would not want to put any more than 30 or so pounds of gear inside.

Just what size is this pack? I measured seam to seam. Main compartment is about 10 1/2" wide X 5" thick X 18" tall. Bottom pocket is 10" wide X 2 1/2" thick by 6" tall, top pocket is 10" wide X 2 1/2" thick X 12" tall. Side pockets are 7 1/2" tall X 2 1/2" thick X 4" wide. The usual solid build quality that is Condor. Nice attention to detail, like two Velcro strap loops + one sewn loop to hang hydration bladder from at top of its pocket and Velcro straps to secure loose ends of some of the adjustment straps. Waist belt is low enough on me that I'm going to find some pads to slide over it for when I have to carry weight and want to transfer it to my hips and there's enough adjustment in the shoulder straps that this should work for most. And yes, the hip belt can detach leaving its two buckles behind where the shoulder straps attach at the bottom. All of the side handles are sewn onto one long piece of webbing that goes from the bottom on one side all the way over the top to the bottom on the other side. Overall a perfect size for my "dad kit" / work / lunch pack.

I bought this pack a little over a year ago cause of the organization it offered. I use this pack everyday for work, short hikes(3-4 hrs) and where ever else I go. I rarely go over 25 lbs usually around 18 lbs and this thing has held up surprisingly well. Zippers aren’t the best but they all still work fine, couple of loose threads that a burnt off. The outside side pockets work great for maxpedition mini pocket organizers. The bottom front pocket has every cream, lotion, wipes, bandaid, pills you can think of. Which is great being in construction I’m ready for almost any scenario. Admin. Pocket is nice and roomy I have battery chargers, pens,extra batteries, glasses, head phones etc. Front single zipper pocket might be my favorite, it’s pleated so you can put a lot of stuff in there. I usually have a hat, gloves, bandanna, flashlight sometimes my phone. I like to have quick access items in there. Main compartment is nice with the full clam shell opening. It will hold a change of clothes and maybe a second layer(hooded sweatshirt). 2 mesh zipper pockets are nice for extra socks and underwear. I use the water bladder sleeve to hold a frogg toggs poncho, it bulges into the main compartment but not to much. If this pack had 10 more litters of capacity it would be perfect for me. I’m a bigger guy so the pack looks a little small on me also my clothes are xxl. I think I paid $51 for this pack. Excellent value!!! Keep in mind I’m not dragging this thing thru the mud or throwing it into the back of my truck from 10’ away, but I’m using it everyday.

This is an extremely nice pack. Perfect for adults on short trips or kids packing for overland expeditions, outdoor camping adventures, and generally being prepared. This one is on the small size so good for those that pack light, for day trips, or for kids. While these are probably heavy for some they are extremely rugged and versatile packs and are great if you demand fail proof function. I give an overview of them and why we chose them over traditional backpacker packs or some similar competitors on youtube just sear "brady adventures condor pack".

Very high quality. Have been using it for 3 years hard, and has stood up to all I have thrown at it.

I took this on a two week trip to Honduras where it served as my day-pack. I knew Condor had a good reputation, and I could see how well this was made when I received it, but I couldn't believe how well it held up. After my trip, this thing looked exactly like it did the day I took it out of the box. No rips, frays, or even dirt spots. I did get it dirty, but it just brushes off. Functionally, it was big enough to hold everything I needed, and small enough to be comfortable. Exactly what I needed!

Excelente mochila de uso diario. Tiene muchos compartimentos que son bastante útiles para múltiples propósitos. El Sistema molle también ha sido de ayuda para extender el rango de uso de la mochila. El material parece de muy buena calidad, así que espero dure muchos años. Sin duda la recomiendo.

Absolutely love this rucksack! I brought it to take with me in africa, and been using it everyday since. Its strong, sturdy and carry's everything i need. Inside the main pocket area is a small waterproof divider for water bottles, and mess pockets prefect for sorting items. The middle pocket is great of paper work, laptops ect.. the extra side pockets, map pocket on the front, and pouch on the back are equally as strong and i always keep them full! The straps have not shown any sign of weakness even when carrying 8+ litres of weight for extended periods of time. Id recommend this to anyone looking for a day sack to go hiking, climbing or just to go away for a weekend!!

very versatile pack can be used for school and office work to camping pack , this is a very robust pack well made from good Denier fabric great density , well stitched with well placed pockets and zippers I love it specially its front hidden pocket , robust pack shoulder straps could be longer

Wer mit dem Begriff Prepper was anfangen kann, der weiß wofür ich den Rucksack benutze... Ich war auf der Suche nach einem kleinem bis mittlerem Alleskönner, welcher mich sicher über drei bis fünf Tage bringen kann. In den Rucksack packte ich mehr als ich bei der Bestellung erwartet hatte. Alles sitzt perfekt an seinem Platz, verrutscht nicht und ist blitzschnell zugänglich. Darüber hinaus sieht das Teil auf dem Rücken auch noch wunderschön aus. Dank Mollesystem ist der Rucksack erweiterbar, ich habe seitlich noch zwei Magazintaschen auf die Seitentaschen gepackt. Da passen genau je eine Dose Redbull rein... Nach ausgiebider Suche und durchprobieren entschied ich mich aus mehreren Gründen für dieses Modell: Formstabil und schönes Design. Genau die richtige Packgröße für ein bis fünf Tage. Super Material und Qualität. Tolle Aufteilung der Fächer. Sehr, wirklich sehr angenehmes Tragesystem, welches man auf den Bildern leider nicht erkennen kann. Das Polstersystem auf dem Rücken ist in drei Auflagebereiche aufgeteilt. Somit bleibt ein Belüftungskanal für den Rücken frei. Die Auflageflächen sind extrem angenehm zu tragen und genau an den richtigen Stellen. Die Gurte sind sehr ergonomisch geformt und lassen sich exakt passgenau einstellen. Sie verrutschen nach dem Einstellen auch nicht mehr. Habe den Rucksack nun mehrere Wochen getestet und bin bestens zufrieden damit. Dabei trug ich ihn mehrere Tagestouren am Stück auf dem Rücken und bemerkte ihn nicht einmal. Gepackt ist er im Schnitt mit knapp 9 Kilo. In der Rückenauflage ist noch ein Zwischenfach, in welches ich eine zugeschnittene BW-Isomatte packte. Dies erhöhte den Tragekomfort zusätzlich. Im Hauptfach habe ich eine Trinkblase platziert. Der Rucksack wird von einem durchgehendem Seitengurt umschlossen welcher am oberen Ende eine Trageschlaufe hat. Genau dort habe ich einen Ausgang für den Schlauch der Tribkblase mit einem Lötkolben eingefügt. Der Vorteil: Da der Seitengurt ebenfalls Mollelaschen hat, konnte ich den Schlauchausgang so setzen, dass dieser von einer Gurtlasche verdeckt wird. Der Schlauch lässt sich Dank Ösen und Laschen auf den Tragegurten perfekt führen, so dass er nicht in der Gegend herumbaumelt. Was mir ebenfalls sehr gut gefällt sind die extrem robusten Reisverschlüsse, welche auch noch abgedeckt sind. Ich persönlich möchte diesen Rucksack nicht mehr missen, da er überall perfekt schnell reingepackt ist. Extrem gut geeignet um für mich als Prepper eine sehr gute drei Tagesausrüstung stets griffbereit und für jeden Einsatz bereitgestellt zu haben. Ich habe ihn so gepackt, dass er mir von der Tageswandertour bis hin zu einer Notunterkunft, Wasser und Nahrungsversorgung bis zu drei oder fünf Tage alles liefert. Er ist auf Reisen mit dem Auto mein Begleiter, so wie auf Wanderungen auch. Durch das Molle System und der 4 Spanngurte (zwei je Seite) ist der Rucksack für meine Zwecke extrem gut erweiterbar und ergänzbar. Kleidungsstücke sichere ich mit den seitlichen Schnellverschlussgurten. An das Molle System hänge ich von der Leathermantasche bis zur Sonnenbrille alles schnell und praktisch ran. Vor allem aber auch sicher... Der Tragekomfort ist meiner Ansicht nach unübertroffen. Bei Hitze sowie auch an kühleren Tagen bietet dieses Tragesystem ein sehr gutes Rückenklima, was bei Rucksäcken der Größenklasse eher selten ist... Wasserdicht ist er nicht, aber extrem Wasserabweisend. Regenschauer hält er bei guter Imprägnierung (und auch bei abgeschwächter Imprägnierung) sehr gut stand. Sollte man jedoch einen See überqueren müssen, so rät es sich an ihn in einen Seesack zu packen. Kleine Anmerkung: Man sollte eine Körpergröße mindestens ab 1, 75m haben, aber nicht mehr als 1,90m. Dann passt er perfekt... Tipps.: Einen Ausgang für einen Trinkblasenschlauch lässt sich mit einem Lötkolben und einer Rundspitze perfekt unter eine Lasche am den ganzen Rucksack umschliesenden Handschlaufentragegurt setzen. Funkgerät und Handmikro, sowie der Schlauch der Trinkblase lassen sich hervorragend an den Tragegurten durch Laschen und Ösen nach vorne fixieren. So bleiben sie immer dort wo sie hingehören und der Rucksack lässt sich bequem und sicher schnell auf und abziehen. Das Funkgerät habe ich in der linken Seitentasche verpackt. So kann die Antenne sich frei und ungestört entfalten. Einzelteile habe ich in Tupper- und Blechdosen verstaut und dann in die jeweiligen Fächer gepackt. So rutscht nix herum und der Rucksack bleibt extrem formstabil. Auf die Seitentaschen habe ich je eine Magazintasche zur Erweiterung gepackt. Sieht sehr gut aus und schafft Platz für Schnellzugriffsgepäck wie Tagesvesper und Trinkflasche. An Alle Laschen habe ich kleine PC-Zahlenschlösser gemacht und somit jedes Fach vor Diebstahl gesichert. Das Mollelaschensystem möchte ich nicht mehr missen. Es ist perfekt um kleinere Dinge wie Sonnenbrille oder Leatherman schnell und stabil an zu bringen. Selbst an den Tragegurten sind genau an richtiger Stelle Laschen vorhanden. Der kleine Alleskönner sieht auf den Bildern nicht so aus, ist es aber. Er ist das einzigste Modell in dieser Klasse welcher derzeit über ein klimatisiertes und extrem gut gepolstertes Tragesystem verfügt. Auch ist er der einzigste welcher kleine Seitentaschen hat. Ich empfehle ihn als kleinen Prepperbag für ein bis max. fünf Tage und als Tagestourenrucksack in ausgesprochen guter Qualität mit gutem Gewissen weiter. Ich würde mich jederzeit wieder für diesen Rucksack entscheiden.

Ich habe den Rucksack jetzt ungefähr ein Jahr im Einsatz und das fast täglich. Dabei muss er schon mal richtig schwere Sachen, wie Bücher und zusätzlich einen Laptop o.ä., tragen und ich behandle ihn eher wenig zimperlich. Aber dieser robuste Begleiter macht das alles mit ohne dass eine Naht aufgeht oder irgendwas reißt. War sein Geld in jedem Fall wert.
