I coated the inside with a good layer of coconut oil since I would like to wash this as infrequently as possible. Most stuff rinses right out. Food sits for up to a week, the lid sets on tight enough where I can't smell it without having to "seal" the lid. Great value for what I was looking for. And, I don't have to worry about any weird leaching.

very good bucket! i pour quonia in and seal it, very very very very very hard to take it off, took me few minutes to get it off because it is very good seal! i open it few time still having hard time open it because it hold very tight and seal very well. one of must have bucket for foods!

I use this bucket to carry seafood (sea urchins, whole fish) from the fish market. It doesn't get punctured or leak like a plastic bag would. It's quite light but the construction feels solid and the metal handle looks like it will last. It's 15 inches tall and 12 inches diameter so I can store it in my fridge.

Nice heavy gauge plastic and lids.BE WARNEDYou'll need a heavy mallet or hammer to pound the lids on them.Pushing didn't work, tapping with sturdy pot didn't work.I ended up pounding REALLY hard on the rim with a heavy mallet to get the lid's on.Luckily, I put my flour in a bag in the buckets before trying to put the lid on. Or else I'm afraid I would have had a mess to clean up

Edited to add: contacted seller and got a response within 15 minutes. Problem solved. Product: bad, Seller: good!Bought this to store my emergency supplies in my car, but the lid does not, and will not close. Seems like these are maybe supposed to be used in production so machinery closes the lid, not a person.

I like the buckets. Perfect for a homemade water filter system. Lids are too tight to put on solidly so I just set them on. Works fine.

By this photo, it appears to be a white bucket with a small portion of writing, possibly a sticker. What I got was a bucket with a design on one side, Lowe’s on the other, and writing in between the designs. I NEEDED A PLAIN WHITE BUCKET (or at least the minimal design as in photo) Entirely too expensive for what I got, and not remotely what I ordered.
