Black Samurai Japanese Sword Katana Swords Hand-Forged

I wanted a sword to keep in my gun safe for the coming zombie apocalypse. I don't think you'll do better than this for the price. I can't talk much about edge retention or blade strength since I'm not actually using it - but it seems like it won't have much trouble going through soft rotting flesh when I need it to.That said - it honestly seems pretty well made considering the price. I'm betting this is nowhere near as good as an expensive authentic katana, but I don't need it to be. That's a luxury I can't afford and the "Harbor Freight" model will work for my needs. I was going back and forth between this and the base model Cold Steel katana - but this is longer and nicer looking. Cold Steel no longer makes the (cheap) model that would have been directly comparable to this for some reason - which is too bad cause I would have bought that instead. If you look at specs for the 'base model' all black Cold Steel tactical katana - theirs is a bit shorter than a full length Katana sword, but they did make one at some point. Now you either need to settle for a shorter katana or spend more for a nicer katana sword which they DO offer. I wouldn't go out trying to chop trees down with this, but I promise you I wouldn't want anyone swinging this at me. The sheath is really nice for price as well. This sword would make a great display item if that's what you're into, but mine just sits in a safe next to more dangerous items. Now I just need a spear and I'll be ready for the walking dead.

Good weight and excellent sword for the price. However during transfer the sword guard came bent and broken. I won't knock them for that however. The sword really surprised me and should be a wishlist for anyone wanting a wall hanger that you could also probably use for those drunken ninja moments.

VERY SHARP !!!!!, BUT LOUSY BALANCE !!!!!!

First off just wanted to thank you for such an amazing product! Went home expecting to receive an okay-ish sword but boy let me tell you, I was blown away with the quality of the packaging, sword was nice and snug with foam padding going from top to bottom.As soon as I touched the hilt I knew I was in for a treat, the blade smoothly slid out from the sheath and the weight of it was amazing. The blade is sharp, i did test it on a piece of paper and it cut through it like butter, the build of the sword as a whole seems very durable and sturdy and the material used for the blade itself and sheath feels very high quality.Im very impressed and I hope to purchase many more from you guys! Thank you very much!

My son is really into katanas and this one has some weight to it so it doesn’t feel like a toy, the coloring of the blade & handle was great, it doesn’t look as if it will chip off or fade.
