Splendid
Totally Surprised! This manual focus lens will take you places you never imagined. Cost is incredibly inexpensive. A special quality when shot wide open. Not exactly soft, more like stunningly mellow. Well built. Rather small but contains everything you need.

Inexpensive Lens For Taking Expensive Looking Photographs
Nice lens for use once in a while. Much less expensive than used Leica glass. Even about 1/4 to 1/3 of Voightlander glass. Use this on my X Pro 2 and like close up shots wide open and most further away shots stepped dow to F8 or F11.

Nifty fifty for my Fuji APS-C
Fun lens. I like to pretend that it's some zaney leica glass. The focus ring moves past infinity; I'd give it five stars otherwise.

Performs beyond its price
I've tried pretty much all the ultra-fast 35mm lenses on my Fuji system. Most of them have been quite good, especially when stopped down to f/2.8 or f/4, but my copy of Brightin Star 50mm/0.95 is a cut above the rest. Even wide open, performance is surprising, showing good center sharpness. There's a slight contrast reduction and a bit of haloing at f/0.95, always to be expected with an ultra-fast lens, but it is still quite useable, and actually offers a very pleasing, vintage look to photos. By f/2, it's very sharp in the center, with sharpness falling off towards the edges of the frame. Out of focus areas are nicely rendered with smooth transitions, and the bokeh is lovely. Solid 5 stars for both performance and value. If I could, I'd give it a sixth star because it has a click-stop aperture ring, which I very much appreciate.

Great value for the money
Great value for the money. Very good bokeh and lets in a ton of light into the lens. Happy with the purchase. Produces a very shallow depth of field and seems to be very well built. Optics are clear and nice . Really a must add for any collection

Looking for a manual lens that will bring you the feeling of using that film camera your pockets can’t afford anymore? Looking for a lens to add to your fujifilm camera that will enhance your user experience? Feel like slowing down and take your time to compose beautiful images? Well welcome to the Brightin Star 35 mm f 0.95It’s only been a few days with this lens (and this camera) and I can adamantly say I know I won’t grow tired of using it. There is a skill curve with this manual focus if you’re looking to take images quickly, or your subject is at a large distance and you want to be at the most open aperture of .95. But to me, I’ve been viewing that as an epic challenge, it’s caused me to think differently and really go out and practice often.I was looking for a camera and lens that I would feel excited by, I researched through the other affordable f .95 lenses and landed here for the clickable aperture, the sharpness you can achieve when you get it right, and it’s travel size. I feel like a kid again, taking my camera out at every single thing that excites me.As a professional photographer, being able to play often is also training grounds for improving when I have to deliver on shoots the next time.I probably wouldn’t use this lens for event photography or anything that requires a fast pace. But definitely portraiture and studio work. But I really enjoy feeling like I’m not limited by a film camera but can still attain that timeless feel whenever I want to pull this dude out. absolutely CRAZY and loving it!
This lens is unbelievable!Back in the late '60's the first camera I bought was a fixed lens Canon rangefinder that I sold it to buy a used Leica 3F. That Leica was a disaster... I couldn't even load the film successfully. I finally sold it and bought a used Nikon F that was my only camera through art school and it was reliable and almost bullet proof. Over many decades I used many different camera formats through my years of photography- products, portraits and travel- and currently use only Fujifilm X-Pro and XT.When I saw the Brighten Star 35mm f/0.95 lens for $200 I was expecting it to be a piece of cr*p but I was too curious not to order one... and wasn't I surprised! It is a solid, well designed, well machined lens that has the functional attributes of the $13,295.00 Leica 50mm f/0.95 minus the Aspherical Element ( 35mm ASPC is the equivalent of 50mm 35MM).

Buen lente
La calidad de los materiales y construcción es buena, aunque tiene un ligero "juego" el anillo de enfoque. La imagen es buena sin llegar a excelente, ofrece un bokeh agradable pero, como era de esperar, el enfoque es complicado a máxima apertura.
