Lady Camembert wants to live life on her own terms, without marriage. Well, without marrying a man, that is. But the law of the land is that women cannot inherit. So when her father passes away, she does the only thing she can: She disguises herself as a man and moves to the capital city of the Kingdom of Fromage to start over as Count Camembert. But it''s hard to keep a low profile when the beautiful Princess Brie, with her fierce activism and great sense of fashion, catches her attention. Camembert can''t resist getting to know the princess, but as the two grow closer, will she able to keep her secret? A romantic comedy about mistaken identity, true love, and lots of grilled cheese. Review: Cute - Lovely read & graphics Review: A charming story of how two different people broke barriers, and defied rules to do the right thing - Countess Camembert has declined suitors for weeks. The reason for that is she doesn't want a man in her life. When the count reveals that his days are numbered and she can't inherit his fortunes unless she marries a man. Her father chalks a foolproof plan that she disguises as a man so that she could become the heir(ess) to the throne, to which she readily agrees. Enter Princess Brie with whom the countess falls head over heels in love, at first sight. How will the countess life turn? Countess Camembert was pictured as a brat, vying for attention and keeping herself up to date with the latest fashion trends. Princess Brie was poised, elegant and had a gait of a noblewoman. She even reminded me of Princess Mia Thermopolis from The Princess Diaries because of her advocacy and activism towards animal rights. The MCs and the side characters were all strong progressive women. There was even a brief moment in the book where a plus-sized maid was introduced as a model to exhibit pieces from a top fashion house. Even with few lines of description, the illustrations have done a wonderful in portraying the character sketch. The characters had several layers to them. The layers slowly came off when the climax was near. Predicting how this story would end kept me in stitches. ‘Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich’ is a charming story of how two different people broke barriers, and defied rules to do the right thing. For once I didn't mind the cheesiness infused in the story by the grilled cheese sandwiches.

ME ENCANTA

Magical read (No spoilers)
This book is a fun lighthearted read, the tone is comedic and the art is nice to look at. Love all the cheese puns too. The Author's note at the end really wrapped up the story for me, allowing me to see just how much love was truly put into the story. So if you're looking for a pleasant read about royalty, clothes, cheese and comedy romance, add this book to your cart
