Each of the 200 pages is dripping with the Processes, Thoughts, Ideas and Designs of the Free Thinkers currently working at DICE and the whole Mirrors Edge Catalyst Project they have recently concluded is Testament to their unwillingness to conform to the Mainstream and Persevere with their Original Vision, the deliberate lack of Decoration, Characterized by the use of Clean, Towering, Sharp Edged Structures and sparingly used Splashes of bold, solid colours gives The City Of Glass a feeling like no other Game I've experienced, The Aesthetics and Interiors of each of the Main Conglomerates Headquarters you inhabit are so expertly crafted from the use of light to the Strong, Loud Colours associated with each of the games main corporations. After purchasing The Catalyst Collectors Edition (Already dropped to £120 at Game) I cancelled my order for the Normal Mirrors Edge Catalyst Artbook to this one (I initially thought this game was going to be massive) and I don't regret it, although it didn't turn out to be the smash hit, critical darling I expected the design of everything to do with this game is exceptional, although after disappointing sales and a lukewarm reception from reviewers don't expect EA to be green lighting any returns to Cascadia anytime soon, this was DICE'S opportunity to turn Mirrors Edge into a franchise I.E Mirrors Edge Books, Clothes, Toys etc, unfortunately not enough people wanted it.

I'm still blown away by the amazing quality & presentation of this book - unlike some publishers who claim their limited or special editions are...well, special? Dark Horse & Dice have really done justice to the ME verse, so much so that the finished quality of the book & case respects this as well as the simplistic & edgy design nodding to the style of the game. And the content is totally immersive, without being repetitive, so that I can spend my time absorbed (or lost!) in the details, the story, the images. I've been waiting years for ME merchandise and this has been totally worth it. What you get with this edition: -Hardback edition of The Art of Mirror's Edge (with embossed cover, red gilt edges, red end papers, red head & tail bands - what more do you want? a freaking red ribbon too? not Faith's style!) -Magnetic case box (glossy finish to keep it clean!) -Tattoo scroll (with rough cut edges as if it were the real thing) -Digital code for the digital edition (now that's typical!)

I love the style and design of Mirror’s Edge so this was a perfect gift to myself. I would also recommend this to aspiring (video game) designers. It breaks down the building concepts quite well. Could work as a good bit of inspiration.

I want to like everything about this art book. It is certainly backing up the Ltd edition, and actually giving you a really nice, heavy, quality printed book and it looks beautiful, matching the aesthetics of the game. However, my one star reduction is the price and the content inside. People might be thinking i'm picky but personally, I found the content to be a little boring in some cases. It gives background and explanations to the city, characters, designs of what they were considering...and these are great! But i found some of it a little boring and wanting a bit more of Faith and more full art pages featured in the more first pages, for example. For this, it certainly is for the fans of the series! I cannot deny the quality of this book.

I am a massive fan of the Mirror's Edge franchise, so I had to pick this up. The art work and concepts are incredible and genuinely take you through the design process for the latest addition to the series, Catalyst.

Great for fans of the series. Filled with beautiful artwork and excellent insights into the game design.

Very high quality physically (binding, paper, etc). Clearly put together by a team with an eye for art and design. Mostly concept art and pre-alpha images, with a few end-result in-game comparisons. The annotation is sparse and some was just standard marketing material (found on the intel section of mirrorsedge.com), but there's some quotes from artists and designers too. A few images were low-res, but that was mostly in-game screenshots, so not really an issue. The book is ~200 pages long and has probably over 1000 images, so there's plenty to look at. It does expand on the meta of the world-building and character design very nicely. If you like lore and backstory, it's got lots of that. My only real issue was that the only packaging was shrink-wrap and paper in the box. A cardboard sleeve or an envelope to protect the cover and edges of the pages would be nice. Mine came in perfect condition despite this.

A beautiful limited edition art book. My only problem is I wish they're was more comments and text within the book. Mirrors edge and it's sequel are definitely one of the most recognised designs in gaming. Makes me wish the series was more successful. If your into collecting art books I highly recommend this product :) hope you find this helpful. P.s. This book only covers the sequel.

El arte conceptual es bellísimo, todos los diferentes estilos y modelados crean una idea particular de lo que se puede encontrar en el mismo videojuego, de inmediato se reconoce la calidad del trabajo. Si te gusta "Mirror's Edge" y su universo, no te puede faltar este libro. Maravilloso

Das Artbook ist Hardcover mit leicht glänzenden Seiten. Es besteht größtenteils aus Concept Art aber nicht vielen Erklärungen. Ich persönlich mag es, dass es größtenteils aus Bildern besteht, Erklärungen sind mir nicht so wichtig, könnte aber manche stören.

A great concept art book if your a Mirror's Edge fan. I use this book at least once a week to grab some inspiration. Dice has some amazing artists and it offers a great view into the various concept stages and designs they go through. Also, very impressed with the print quality!

This is the best looking artbook one would get his hands on, styled elegantly and beautifully completely after the style of the unique game. The book doesn't only contain beautiful art and concepts, but also various valuable information for the environment of the game, its characters and ideas. The Limited Edition of the Artbook doesn't differ in book contents to the regular edition, but you receive this beautiful high quality hardcover magnet case holding the book and the scroll in place. The scroll is the tattoo Faith has on her arm, also related to the game in many ways. You also receive a digital code you can register on Dark Horse Books.
