Uglies Series 4 Books Collection Set By Scott Westerfeld (Extras, Pretties, Specials & Uglies)

I watched the movie of the fist book on the flix of net, decided to do a lil research and discovered there was more to the stories, so I bought the books! Glad I did, loved these, I would recommend to anyone who liked things like divergent or hunger games, it's in the same kinda boat but not at the same time. Well written and an easy read, define page turner set of books!

Great collection

I loved the concept of the book. It was easy to read good dialogue entertaining/ engaging, I liked the twist of the extra putting a different perspective and a new city into play. I loved the humour especially adding Andrew Sampson’s smith into the mix. I would have like the to be a bit more detail in the smoke was like. As a person who would like to write books, maybe aimed at teenagers the way the book brought in topic and our perspective need to change. It taught me how to implement that and be engaging. I did however find it hard to picture it, the descriptive writing need a bit of work I bounce my imagination of the film.

Bought as a birthday present, and devoured by my 11 year old niece. Great 😀!

Liked all the characters and the way they all acted and interacted with one another. The pace of the story never stopped or stuttered and I could honestly imagine the future world that was described by the author

There was an offensive and embassing insert into the books. It is rather embarassing that a writer who percieves himself to be accomplished feels the need to compare himself to others. Furthermore, the same statement is written on all four covers. It is clear that either these books were written by Suzanne Collins in a pseudomn, or by a writer with no talent beyond trying to use the success of others to benefit himself. Presumably this is an attempt to piggyback off the work of others as his work is unable to stand of its own merit. Yet, if this comparison held true, and his books were "better" by some reason due to being older, then there would be no need to compare themselves to something "lesser." By doing so, the author makes his point moot, and instead succeeds only in embarassing himself. The books were poor quality and had no barcodes. This is upsetting as I use a library tracking app for my personal collection. This is a deliberate attempt by the author to alienate avid readers and prevent them from purchasing his books. The books are poor quality, and are not provided in a box.

My teenage son really enjoyed this series. Came in good quality and no damage.

Super spannende Bücher, es lohnt sich wirklich. Gerade, wenn man schon Tribute von Panem super fand. Herrlich Dystopisch. Die Qualität der Bücher ist auch super!

I loved this series, it really helped me escape in middle/ high school. Was happy to find the complete series to gift to my 13 year old sister.

I don’t know why it says „before the hunger games, there was…“, because the Hunger Games definitely play in another timeline. Whatever, after watching the Uglies movie on Netflix, I wanted to read the books. The first three books are really good but the fourth felt out of place. Still, the storyline is not very complex and good for teenagers to read but too simplistic for adults.
