Works, highly recommended.
This is one of the ferrite devices that actually works. Recommended. Eliminated hum on my professional Sub with RCA to XLR cables.

Worked perfectly for alternator whine
I installed a subwoofer, door speakers and 2 amps in my truck. I also installed a cheap 10.1" android head unit. It sounded pretty good, but had terrible alternator whine. It made it so the system was unlistenable at low volume. I did the normal troubleshooting of checking my grounds, making sure the RCA didn't cross paths with any power wires, used a nice shielded RCA cable, nothing would get rid of that awful whine. I didn't have high hopes for this $10 filter, but figured it was cheap enough to give it a try. It worked flawlessly. The amp is now playing crystal clear with no hiss, whine or anything. Just a nice dead silent noise floor. No noticable impact on output or sound quality. Note, as another reviewer pointed out, the label seems to be backwards. The male RCAs plug into the amp and the RCA cable coming from the head unit plug into the female end. Installed in less than a minute and solved my problem 100%.

Trash
If you’re planning to get this for car audio, DONT. It caused my subs to lose significant power. At least 50 percent of my bass. Also caused my radio treble to slowly fade out after about 10 minutes of driving, every single time. Radio would read, “check wiring”. Took this thing out and gained all my bass back and no longer fading out. If you’re having issues, it’s likely your power, ground, and RCA cables are too close to each other. Do yourself a favor and take the time to reroute them instead of wasting money on this.

reduced computer speaker buzz
This significantly reduced, though did not completely eliminate, an annoying buzz in my powered speakers that appeared to be generated by my new computer's graphics card. While not solving the problem entirely, I am very pleased with the level of mitigation this item provides for what it cost.

Add another one to the "fixed it" list.
Found some other comprible isolators for about double and triple the cost, but was unsure that this would resolve my problem and didn't want to spend too much money on nothing. Took the dive after reading some reviews. Slapped em in the truck in 30 seconds and drove around the block, no more whine. People not having luck with these are probably not diagnosing their issues, making assumptions that this is their problem, and wrongfully accusing their incoming signal as the issue. This is all these are designed to overcome. Not grounding issues or internal amp problems. For anyone with similar symptoms: 2020 F150 with an NavTV A2B Zen Module feeding 4 channels to an AudioControl D-4.800. This amp pre-outs to an LC-1.1500 for a pair of JL 13Tw5 subs. The 800 feeds 2 channels of tweeters and 2 channels of subs from the Morel Virtus line. I was getting alternator whine at roughly 1500 - 2300 rpm, no matter the load on the engine. I verified the whine was not isolated to any RCA input by unplugging and verifying one at a time. Then verified it was not due to any interference from my power and ground wiring by driving without any RCAs hooked up, meaning the whine stopped with no inputs, only power/ground and remote turn on. Plugging the RCAs back in brought back the whine. Installed these in between the zen module and the RCAs to the amp - whine gone. Works like a champ. No noticeable deterioration in sound quality, either.

Works Good Eliminating Hum, But It Picks Up Near By AM Broadcast Radio Station
Works good, hum eliminated. 1st, I had to make sure I located the source of the hum by disconnecting 1 audio cable pair at a time until the hum stops in order to know where install this device inline in order to rectify the audio hum issue. But if you stay near an AM broadcasting transmitting facility like I do, you are in trouble, then you may need an RFI filter like an audio low pass filter installed on the audio lines as well, or move away depending on how close proximity are you from that AM broadcasting transmitting facility.

Buzz kill
Could not get rid of alternator whine through speakers. Inspected and isolated all grounds so they grounded to body at different points. Did not have any grounds connected to battery which may have helped in retrospect. Moved radio ground away from harness and directly to firewall. Replaced cheap Chinese coils with ac delco which is Oem. Still had buzz but improved slightly with every change but would not go away. Removed capacitor from sound system to see if it was the problem. Nada. Finally got this and whine is 100% gone! Sound quality is arguably muted somewhat, kinda like a wet towel over speakers but not bad. I was able to fiddle with highs, lows and bass boost to get it sounding almost perfect but some clarity /sharpness is missing, but very minor. I only have about $300 total in system besides the aftermarket head unit that cam e with car so we are not talking big bucks here. Got aftermarket door speakers, amp, to drive them and a self powered sub. It’s not top shelf stuff, I know, but it is a s10 pick up bare bones., no jump seats small cab. Sounds perfect for what I need, loud enough to blast it without distortion but I don’t try to shake the ground.I also bought the out of box item and it was still perfect.

Want clear radio again! Get this now
I was skeptical how well it would work but wow I was surprised how well it helped the clarity of the radio signal. Perfect for perfect performance cut the static is drastically reduced or eliminated totally . Super easy to hook up looks cool as well ! The size is standard so no issues with not fitting. Using Solar with my inverter sometimes causes feedback or static this stops it by grounding the signal as I understand it . Perfect for any radio If you listen to radio you value this will help big time like the Solar powering it ! Check out my book Solar independent Utility systems manual online in many languages! Most censored book online today. I will never stop using this ! Awesome product that works perfectly with Solar power !

Struggled with buzz, hum and what sounded like line contact issues after getting new laptop for my PA. Tried everything, and I mean EVERYTHING else. I have been DJ'ing and hosting Karaoke for 37 years and this is the first time I had encountered ground loop issues, so it never occurred to me to ask the RIGHT question; I just kept trying to fix things I was familiar with. Finally did a search and just asked the internet what was wrong without telling it what I thought it was and finally got the right answer: Ground Loop Interference. 24 hours later, I have the InstallGear Ground Loop Isolator Amp Noise Filter connected and everything sounds clear and perfect. I wasted months because I was too stupid to ask for directions and got lost and frustrated for my troubles.

It doesn't cut the noise when the audio is Playing. I connected it even serially and checked but nothing works. It just cuts the noise when nothing is playing on the car stereo.

I can't believe how good this works. Instant fix. Plugged into my Scarlett Solo USB interface and then the noise completely disappeared. My room got so quiet I thought the speakers turned off. Clearest audio signal I've heard ever since setting up my pc. For those wondering I have KRK Rokits and the Scarlett Solo USB interface I would have spent $50 on a fix but got this on sale for $10!!!!
