Can you use this on your table saw or bandsaw?

No reason you couldn’t. Although, it’s fairly expensive for that use. I use cheap paste wax for shop machinery. Works great and is much less expensive

Should odie’s oil and wax be used on raw wood kitchen counters? will it result in water proof or water resistant surface? are they food safe?

Odie’s is completely food safe. It is not 100% waterproof but close enough. Probably don’t want to leave pools of water overnight.

Does this harden like a poly coat or soak into the wood?

Both. It soaks in then hardens the wood. If you want tough as nails, look at Osmo PolyX.
