Golden Amber Resin 5 Grams

I've been enjoying the use of golden amber for many years. The quantity, quality, and price of this purchase seems consistent with other purchases of amber resin I've made elsewhere over the years. Combined with frankincense and myrrh resins, the amber melts via the heat of a tealight candle: I add water up to the top of the rim of the warmer pot and allow it to heat up slowly, and as the resins melt, it eventually becomes a thick tar-like soup of exquisite scented-ness. I prefer using resins this way as the scent is carried into the air via steam rather than "smoke," which can irritate mine or anyone else's lungs. For as long as a candle is burning underneath, I top off the water to keep the resin from drying out and burning/smoking. To make my space smell heavenly, I only need to keep water over the resin and light a candle... I only need to add another nugget of each resin 3-4 times a year (at most) to enjoy the heady aroma season after season. Once the resins are melted in the warmer, that's all I use that warmer for. When the candle burns out and the water evaporates, the pool of melted resin cools, re-hardens, and remains there (permanently affixed to the warmer pot). By using it this way, it has the potential to last for years, depending on how much resin I use in the mix and how often I heat it up. The amber resin is too soft to last nearly as long on its own; it's only when mixed with other harder resins, that it can be made to last so long. Using just amber this way is still doable, but it won't last as long. Either in a mix or by itself, this golden amber is an exquisite scent, ideal for almost any occasion. I think using a soapstone warmer is ideal for heating resins in THIS particular way, as there's no risk of overheating glass, ceramic, porcelain, etc. which "might" subsequently crack due to the heat of the melted tar-like resins. It might not cause damage, but I personally don't want to test that theory in order to find out. (lol) I've shared this type of resin, as well as other kinds of resin, such as frankincense, myrrh, copal, etc with friends and family and everyone falls in love with the amber and amber-mixes as soon as they smell them. Everyone seems to agree with me that the amber is definitely the most magical of the resin ingredients. I highly recommended it.

I am so very disappointed i don't know what to do. I trusted the reviews and expected to receive a genuine, intensely fragrant amber (resin) pebble --the likes of which i last experienced a few decades ago. Sadly, this is not what arrived today. The scent is strongly suggestive of baby powder! It doesn't even have the feel of amber, but that of a dried out stale cookie.

I love resin I have been raising resin since high school being a Caribbean-Latin it’s very common and I was raised to pair with essential oils I even make lil concoctions with resin and essential oils in my lil tin and my husband LOVESSSSSSSSSS the smell of resin on me he says my scent is in our closet through our house and in his car

Exactly what I wanted. Thisntakes me back to the days of Dead tour and the rich earthy smells there. I wore this so much in my past and feel so excited to have it again. The amount was smaller than I expected but it weighted proper. High quality, holds shape but melts will when applied. Absolutely beautiful!
