Have used twice. First on Softwalk leather flats to increase to toe box and then on designer leather combat boots widening the foot area.. They work very well, you only need to be patient and leave the stretcher inserted in the shoe for at least one day and stretch a little at a time. These stretchers fit my size 5 shoes and offer multiple adjustment points. The wood make it feel sturdier than plastic versions.

As far as the mechanism, these were fine other having to clean up the taper inside of the wooden last. Anyone that has broken the mechanism is definitely just cranking on it until the litle universal joint lets go. My problem is that even though I ordered the largest size, the wooden foot part is way too small,its like it was for a woman's foot, mind you I wear a size 10 US. Other than that it would be well worth the price, and would do the job just fine, but do to the small size its us

I developed a hammertoe in the last 15 months and I needed to make a little more room in some new boots and other shoes. This shoe stretcher had all the pieces to stretch my shoe enough to wear all day comfortably. It arrived quickly and is very easy to use.

Had high hopes for this product, I wear boots for work and like most uniform boots they are narrow at the toe. I wanted to stretch my boots just enough to relieve some bunion pain. Well I realized that the shoe stretcher was stripped and would not widen all. Would highly recommend using these as quickly as possible, so you can return them if they are defective. I would not recommend this product at all, the craftsmanship and design are flawed as it is nearly impossible to use on boots above ankle high.

First of all they do work to widen boots at a good price if used carefully and correctly. Do not try to over tighten, be patient and stretch incrementally. Also do not screw them all the way back down as the tensioning nut will fall off the screw. Cons- *Quality control on the holes for the plastic pieces is terrible. Some holes wallowed out and some look like the bit was pulled out too fast leaving side chaff and making the holes too small to accept the pieces. Easily reminded with a drill and bit but I shouldn’t have had to to clean the drilled holes. *Toe not shaped narrow enough for pointed toe boots. *Cheap grade of pine wood used. I would pay a little more for a slightly higher quality of material, design and workmanship.

It works did what I needed it to do, wish the inserts were metal instead of plastic Could use a couple of more holes for a more custom placement of the plastic bumps for more precise stretching however you can drill a,hole for your specific need . It would be stronger if made out of hardwood, however you must be careful not to over tighten initially but tighten them again after several hours and repeat this process carefully to not over stretch your shoes or boots it takes at least 24 to 48 hours to get the best stretch possible

1 worked fantastic the other 1 acts like it is broke. Still help loosen the new leather boots so There was NO PAINFUL WEARING. EASY STRETCHABILITY PUT THEM IN PLACE LEFT IN FOR 48 HOURS AND WAS DONE.
