I’m a rock painter. My painting partner and I love these glitter paints. They put a beautiful sparkle sheen over paint. They are sheer, but loaded with evenly spread glitter. I put the glitter color over acrylic paint of the same color. The hologram over black (several coats) gives an amazing green iridescent sparkle (perfect for dragonfly wings). I do a lot of dotting work, and I find just a touch of this glitter paint here and there makes all the difference. These are full 2oz bottles and will last and last. The black glitter over black paint as a background before painting your image is so subtle and sparkly without being gaudy. If you love sparkle, you won’t regret this purchase.

The paint looks almost pastel and speckled when in liquid form and while painting. Be patient! As it dries, it gets darker and more sparkly. I was surprised with how much I loved it. It may require multiple coats to ensure full coverage.

Not the cheapest or the most expensive, but their coverage is usually quite good and the colors are pretty true throughout use. And I have a lot of their colors. >.. BUT Glitter is different. On a white base, Jellybean Pink is pink. On a black base, Jellybean Pink is blue! I suspect this is a surprise to me because I do a fair bit of painting on a black base, and expected the glitter paint to be true to it's name. Red remained red, Turquoise remained blue, but hologram was blue as was pink! On a while base hologram is white with silvery blue glitter. >.. I would not be surprised to find a manufacturer of glitter to tell me that there must be reflective elements in order to get the "glitter" effect, and as the paint disappears on black, the only colors that seems to be there are the colors that contrast with black. Well, hmmm. It seems to me that PINK ought to be pink regardless of background tint, pink is a contrast to black, but not in these paints. >.. I usually use glitter to make things for my Grand girls, they like the flash. But for the future, I will stick to glitter and glue instead of glitter paint. >.. On a black background the color of the paint disappears and just the glitter remains, not a bad thing, but test your colors before you commit serious time and paint on a project that may NOT give you the results expected. >.. Tried some other colors on black: Silver remains Silver, Gold remains Gold, and Champaign is a pale golden color. >.. This does not reflect the amount of glitter in the paint. There is plenty of glitter (assuming you stir it rather than shake it. Shaking it creates bubbles that don't always allow smooth application). Coverage is thin as if this was intended as a topcoat over some other color. I have not tried that, but if the undercoat is similar to the labeled color of the glitter paint, that could be very cool. Metallics might benefit as well. Just a thought.

I was working on a fantasy castle project and my gold and silver metallic paints were not giving me enough of a sparkly pop. I HATE glitter and the mess it always makes so I avoid using it all the time. However, these glitter paints seemed to have the “pop” I wanted but not the mess! I decided to try them and I’m so glad I did!! I used the glitter paint over the crowns, swords, picture frames and everything that needed more sparkle and I love how easy it was to control the paint. There were no glitter spills and no cleanup other than water for my brushes! All of my items now have the super sparkly look I wanted and it was so easy to do! The glitter paint is pretty transparent so I found it necessary to basecoat a color under it, i.e. silver acrylic paint under the silver glitter paint, gold acrylic paint under the gold glitter paint, etc. This caused slightly longer drying time since I had to basecoat first, but the super glittery sparkle is definitely worth the extra time!

Dude i don’t even leave reviews like this but , this was some of the best paint that i could’ve imagined for what i was dreaming of doing. i’m not even gonna lie lmao it feels kinda like glitter and glue but i am so happy with the results, i clear coated my project so it lasts longer and i recommend this to anyone who’d listen.

Use it to add a finishing touch when required to my resin and/or art pieces. Highly recommend

Ich hab die Farben seit ca.einem Monat und ich hab sie bisher kaum benutzt, weil sie extrem und unangenehm chemisch riechen. Zudem decken sie nicht. Wenn man eine andere Farbe als Basis nimmt und dann die Farben drüber malt, ergibt es ein schönes Ergebnis. Aber der Geruch ist wirklich extrem!
