Love the poles, great for recreation/keeping in shape! Just a couple of suggestions..
I ordered a set of the birch trekking poles, and I am in love with them! They are easy to adjust and most comfortable to use; especially with the ergonomic handles. I have found with my carpal tunnel, I prefer to use the thumb rest on the side of the grip rather than on top, though both work. The poles are very easy to adjust and very lightweight and fun to walk with for rehabbing your body back into shape for fitness. I have now officially found my new favorite form of exercise to keep me motivated, so these poles are aptly named. The poles come with regular tips for pavement, soft terrain spikes snow baskets, a soft carry case with pocket, and wrist straps. There are some very helpful instructions and instructional videos to assist the consumer in getting set up for the first time, if unfamiliar with trekking poles. The wrist straps, though comfortable, do not stay cinched and open up during walking. Also; the right wrist strap, has to be assembled upside-down for the word "York" to be on the outside, when installed, as it seems both straps were printed in the same direction, so the right one does not match the video instructions. The Seller graciously sent me a couple of extra pairs to try; another set of the straps that come with the poles and a set of straps that come with metal clips. I found the thinner straps would be useful and more lightweight and appropriate for summer, and that the metal clips seemed to remain locked better than the plastic, which actually do not stay snapped down for me on the original motivator straps. The original straps are my favorite, though, I do actually prefer my wrist straps padded and wider for winter when I am wearing gloves. All-in-all I really do love these poles, the designs are fresh and fun, as well as user friendly, lightweight and a pleasure to use. So far I have only used them in snow and the spiked tips really bite into the terrain for stability. I found the service for York to be helpful for its customers with great training video instructionals and personalized tips if you find a bit more is needed to get you started.

Easy to use, hight quality walking poles.
I am able to walk with greater balance and feel secure. Easy to use, adjustable height, and a very good value to cost ratio.

Feel secure walking.
Exactly as described and very helpful to my stability when walking. I have neuropathy in my feet and these are much better than using a cane. Great descriptive videos too.

Very helpful for fatigue and walking balance issues
My rheumatologist recommended these as I struggle with autoimmune disease and have terrible fatigue and joints pain. Sometimes I have balance issues, too. As they ALWAYS recommend exercise for chronic fatigue, I was complaining that I JUST CAN’T exercise, since I get exhausted just by taking a shower for example. So she recommended these and said to try even 5 min a day of walking and see if it helps. It took a while to get used to them, and I think I probably look ridiculous when I walk through my neighborhood, but it has helped! I started walking 5 min a day, now I can do 10-15min and I don’t feel d*ad afterwards. They kind of help propel you as you walk. I think it also gave me some motivation too. They look very sturdy, and provide good stability. Easy to adjust the height. At first my thumbs would start numbing after a while, but I did some research and they suggested to pull your hands through the wrist straps from bottom up, instead of from top to bottom and that fixed the problem! I never knew these existed, but I’m glad I got them. I am in my early 40’s and I believe it can help anyone with fatigue or balance issues. Happy walking!

Great poles for walking or as support
I bought these poles as a walking staff/hiking pole because I prefer to be more upright and use my upper arm for support, rather than using a cane. I have had a number of different walking sticks over the years but none with a handle like this. I have lumbar stenosis, OA in multiple joints, nueropathy weakness and pain, particularly in my right hand so I need and use a variety of walking aids, mainly on my right side to compensate for left side weakness and balance. I like my Hiking hunger poles which have a regular cork grip but needed something to help me grip a little easier and have a little more strength going up and down curbs and steps. This handle is a pretty good answer overall to help with those issues. Overall, I recommend it with a few small caveats.Pros: These are sturdy, quality poles with good locks. 👍I love the pretty wrap (beach).👍The feel of the handles is very good, not slippery, and the two thumb positions are great to have a choice, depending on whether you are swinging it a little more or using it to go up and down steps👍It has a removeable strap which is good for hanging up in public places👍 I am a plus size person and feel secure in how strong this pole is. 👍 The whole package that arrived was impressive quality- nice storage bag with room for attachments, instructions and phone support if needed. 👍 rubber end is a quality standard hiking/ walking attachment👍( but be aware that it is small and can be slippery on hard indoor floors or ice- watch where you place it). I wish the end pole were large enough to put a standard cane tip on but it isnt. I am not complaining at all against the manufacturer, they show and state clearly what it is. Maybe someday someone will make more large tips available for hiking staffs.Cons: the main small complaint I have is that the resting handle which is great in some ways (getting up and down) rubs the pinky finger and outside of my hand when I am walking with it.👎 I may look at getting some kind of soft, thin padding there, not sure yet how to do that. Since I bought the poles for the resting handle, that is a bit of an issue but not enough to make me return them. My hand is particularly sensitive because of the OA and neuropathy so that might not bother others. The other small con I have is that while it can be folded down slightly, it is still fairly long to put under a table or into a bag and isnt super easy to slide up and down or lock. That might get better with time. I make it work.Overall, I find it a great pole, decent value for the money and easy to assemble.

Excellent company. Great product. Spend your money with them..
Firstly, before you buy from any competitors, especially third-party press, assured this company is golden. I bought these walking poles along with other brands to try to help my stepmother. She has Parkinson’s and cardio is supposed to be an excellent exercise. Unfortunately, she does not have the coordination for these so they had to get returned, but I want to share how incredibly good my experience was with this seller. Third-party sellers on Amazon are usually a little bit more complicated to deal with and then be will not be helpful. Lauren, the president dealt with me directly and she couldn’t be more kind and understanding when I had to return the poles beyond the allowed return date. She was so kind and even thanked me for trying them. These are great walking poles for anybody who walks not just seniors or anybody with a disability they have a great grip that holds your hand much more comfortably if you hike for a long time. It is a great product, but unfortunately, my stepmom couldn’t coordinate with them. For any active, senior or young person this is a great product! Above all my experience with a return was one of the most pleasant ones. If you’re going to buy walking poles like these I would definitely buy it from this company. You vote with your dollars and I vote for a company that has compassion and is run by good people who put health and humanity above profit.

Great for seniors!
Bought them for elderly mother in law for her daily walks. They’ve really helped her feel more confident and improve her posture as her cane made her bend over and look down more. Works great for our gravel road.

Well made
These walking sticks are great! I got them to assist with walking after recovering from spine surgery. They’re very well made and easy to adjust the height range.
