Excellent product! So happy that someone designed and marketed this. Turn just about any curtain rod into a double so you can put a sheer behind it or layer curtains for a great designer look. Very well made and sturdy. Purchased the gold which is a very nice satin color, not a cheap, shiny yellow looking gold like I was concerned it would be. The black has a bit of shine to it but still very well made and high-end looking. These are just wonderful! Addition to this review: Watch the prices! I placed 3 in my cart and came back later to buy them and the price went up over 8 dollars each. So I moved them to the "save for later" section and I searched for a better price and found them elsewhere for 7 dollars less than the price they were before they went up. Then went back in today to delete them out of my "save for later" section and they had gone back down to the original price again. Hum tricky business going on here, oh well they lost they sale and I saved over 21.00 going elsewhere. yay for me though:)

I was trying to find a replacement curtain rod that was a triple. I was about to give up when I came across these. I wanted to be able to hang a valance, a window shear and a room darkening shade. These are perfect and I'm so happy with the result. I have a very wide double window that this was going over. I ordered 2 of these. I was concerned that on the center mount I would end up with a gap because the two would have to be one behind the other on the center curtain rod mount. But there really is no discernible gap or separation in my window shears. This was such an easy solution and so much cheaper than replacing all of the brackets for the triple.

A bit annoyed with this purchase. Product works as needed, with a few adjustments. However, although it says it extends to 70", most curtain rods at that length have a center support that would require you to use two of these add a rods instead of one. It should at least contain two extra hooks to account for that instead of having to buy two units. If not, then it shouldn't be advertised as being able to extend that distance with the use of just one. Also, whoever decided to cut the ends of the zip ties holding the rods together needed to at least file the edges. Got myself a nice gash reaching in to take it out of the package.

This was the perfect solution for our nursery. When we first purchased our home, we placed curtains on all windows throughout the house but never thought to purchase double rods. Fast forward and with a baby on the way we noticed that all bedroom sets come with a valance. Since we only had a single rod and didn't want to buy a double rod that did not match the rest, this fit and solved our problem in order to add the valance + curtains in the nursery. Simple, cheap, and easy to install.

Was having trouble finding room darkening curtains for my son's nursery that sufficiently darkened the room but were also cute. I ended up finding an awesome darkening thermal liner, and purchased this universal add-a-rod in an attempt to hang the liner behind his existing nursery curtains. This was exactly what I needed. It was super easy to install - I had everything up in minutes. The rod did seem a little bit flimsy - but since I'm not expecting anyone to hang off the curtains, I think they'll be just fine for what I need (esp. considering the price)!

Great product and an easy fix for my issue. I had tried to use a tension curtain rod behind my curtains but the tension rod just fell down and wasn't sturdy enough. ****It was very very hard to this item on Amazon- I repeatedly searched for things such as "add a rod curtain rod" on Amazon and this did not come up. I was stumped as to why Amazon would not sell this style of rod since they are sold elsewhere and sold out everywhere I looked. I was searching elsewhere off the Amazon site and found a link that brought me to this on Amazon.

I love this rod! It's hard enough to hang drapes and then decide that you want sheers behind the drapes you have just hung. I have mini blinds, but wanted sheers in front of them and behind the drapes, but I didn't want to have to take down the drapes and put up more hardware. This rod hangs on your existing hardware and your sheers are up in minutes behind your drapes. It was so easy. I'm going to order more for the other rooms after seeing how easy it was!

Description says universal however these will only work on round Brackets. I like the product idea but I had to return these because they would not fit. They may work well on round brackets but do will not if you have a flat ones.

Not bad for price and quality is good too. Easy to install, but make sure the existing rods have room, in my case I didn't have much room and it was right at top, so hard to move curtains. However we weren't moving curtains everyday, so fine for us, did what we wanted it for.

This worked perfectly for what I needed. I had to add a valance to an existing curtain rod and this worked amazing!
