The refill writes incredible. Maybe better than the original. Highly recommend and the price is great

Excellent...Quality & Price...Highly Recommended
I have several Schaefer ballpoint pens; not used as frequently as I could. When one stopped writing, perhaps with dry flow I read the Amazon reviews and this one had very high accolades so I opted for the pack. I was impressed that there was even the small plastic cover on the point that had to be removed; a feature on new Pentels for example! Writing was smooth immediately and each time...very full medium black! Indeed I have placed this Shaeffer pen within easy reach so will use frequently! So with the protected tips and the remaining four Monteverde refills secure in a tidy sealed plastic bag is secure in the top drawer of my fine Indonesian Mahogany Raffle's desk.

They're pen refills. They have ink in them, they fit my pen, they write. That's about it. No problems.

Better than Sheaffer!
Great pen refills! This is much better than Sheaffer and much cheaper too. They glide smoothly on paper and one refill lasts a very long time. I haven’t actually finished my first, but I’ve definitely gone much longer than if I used a Sheaffer refill. My pack is gonna last me a long time, good thing the tips are sealed so I’m sure the ink won’t dry up. Great buy!

This refills write fairly smoothly and don't skip. Though they don't write as dark as major brands.

These are a great substitute for the much more expensive pen branded ink. Generous ink supply. Smooth delivery without skip or drag. Fast drying with no smearing and I'm a leftie so that's an important consideration for me. I've purchased these before and will certainly purchase them again when I need more refills

Better than Sheaffer's own refills — so far
The Sheaffer Sentinel is my favorite retractable ballpoint pen, but the company's refills often rattle when I'm writing. A friend suggested trying Monteverde's refills — and, so far, these have been smooth and silent.
