Lots of hours of use but only 200 power cycles, so I expect it to last a while ...nice quality /quiet

Bit hesitant to buy a used item but it's refurbished and low hours so why not plus only for backup so low risk really. Item took a while to arrive but turned up well packaged and in very good condition no visible scratches or scrapes. Installed without issue so far bo problems was recognised and formated to ext4 encrypted easily. Time will tell if it lasts

Absolutely avoid. After one year of use both hard drives that bought have failed. All important information has been lost.

Mine had 3.5 year of uptime. Worked as expected. Quick delivery from US to UK

It had bad sectors and couldn't be salvaged. I tried with various programs on windows and Linux. Very sad that 10tb of space can never be used :) Maybe it got damaged in transit. Big thanks to Amazon customer services for sorting out the problem. I do have a similar Amazon 10tb purchase that has been working fine since April 2023. Sometimes these renewed drives work out ok and sometimes they don't.

I purchased 4 of these drives (RAID10) roughly 4 weeks ago, one of them has now developed uncorrectable sectors. All drives came with 5yr warranty cards in them, contacted said company based on the information on the warranty card however they don't provide cover outside of the US and told me to go back to Amazon. Spoke to Amazon and they will issue a refund on return, this is a pointless exercise therefore take caution when purchasing, if you develop a fault you can only return for a refund and not get a replacement. There is also no guarantee the 5yr warranty will be valid either, it may just be the 1yr renewed warranty only. Update: The company which shipped the warranty card within the delivery has confirmed they do not provide warranty outside of the US and all warranty claims would need to be dealt by Amazon directly. As these are 'renewed' drives it will include the 1YR warranty, furthermore, the description said 2YR reseller warranty, hopefully Amazon will honor that. I did purchase the 4YR protect your bubble warranty (at time of purchase) and it seems that will only help you with problems during years 2-4 and for the first year you will have to go deal with Amazon first. I bought 2 HDDs from this supplier on March 10th of this year, a 10 TB one and it crashed in just 5 months, I sent a message to the supplier and a week went by and they don't hear from me, not even to tell me that they don't respect a minimum guarantee. terrible supplier, terrible product, doesn't even deserve one star

Power on hours 39190 (4y, 5m, 19d, 22h) Seems to be in working condition. Did a preclear and everything seems to be just fine?

I purchased three 10TB hard drives for my NAS system. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with their performance. They operate quietly, although there is a periodic click due to PWL, which is normal and nothing to be concerned about. In terms of performance, these drives deliver excellently, and I couldn't find a better price elsewhere. However, since they are refurbished, there's always a slight risk of failure, but that's the case with any hard drive, even brand new ones. To mitigate this, I have set up RAID 5 on my NAS. Additionally, the reseller provided an additional 5-year warranty, which provides some peace of mind. Unfortunately, one of the drives failed after just 4 months of use. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the responsiveness of the customer service team. I contacted them and received prompt support. The reseller, Evrymm, quickly issued a refund with minimal hassle; they only required the serial number for verification. I'm extremely satisfied with their service, so much so that I immediately purchased two more drives from them. I highly recommend them based on my positive experience.

RAS en l'état Disques reçu rapidement et bien protégé dans leur boite (un film plastique maintient bien le disque). Aussitôt reçus, je procède à un test smart extended afin de m'assurer de la bonne santé de chaque disque. Il faut savoir que ces disques ont vécu, environ 30.000h de fonctionnement sur chacun mais très peu d'arrêt/rallumage. HGST est une marque fiable (peut-être la meilleure au monde au passage) avec un taux de panne assez faible j'ai bon espoir que ces disques puissent durer encore quelques années. En tout cas le rapport prix au to est intéressant. Je conseille toutefois d'utiliser uniquement pour du backup ou usage en raid par sécurité et attention car étant des disques datacenter ils sont bruyants surtout quand on écrit dessus.

I bought this revised 10TB HHD. The first couple of days it worked fine. But then suddenly it stopped working and started to make clicking/scratching noises. I lost over 3TB of files because of that. So I am very unhappy with this drive and decided to return it.
