So much better than expected!
We’ve now owned this spa for 3 months. I waited to post a review until we had some time to really test it and put it to good use. We originally bought this spa as a test to see if we were cut out to be spa owners. The plan was so try out an affordable inflatable spa, get a feel for balancing chemicals, and then purchase a full sized jacuzzi later on if we felt we were up to the task of spa ownership. Well, this Coleman Saluspa has treated us so well that we have no plans on replacing it for a full sized jacuzzi. It’s FANTASTIC. We have used it pretty much every single day since we got it a little over 3 months ago. The spa itself was super easy to set up. It came with all the required parts and the instructions were very straightforward and easy to read. The bubbles are strong, it stays warm, and is well sized. We have fit 4 full grown adults in and all agreed we could have probably fit in a 5th friend if we were comfortable getting cozy. I’ve included a pic of my husband laying down in it from when we were initially setting it up (he’s 5’10) and a pic of him in it with a buddy for scale and size reference. This Saluspa is definitely one of the larger models that Coleman produces. As for durability, we’ve had zero leaks and find it to be extremely durable. We’ve sat on the sides to cool off when we get warm, and our cats regularly sit on the sides to hang with us when we are using the spa. They also like to hang out on the cover (I’ve included a pic). You’d think their claws would puncture it, but they have not. This spa is extremely durable… even to cat claws. We just did our first drain and clean yesterday (it’s recommended to drain a few times a year) and draining was super simple, although time consuming. You just attach a hose, pull a plug, and thats it! As for spa upkeep, I recommend doing some research on balancing chemicals. Reddit was a great resource when getting started. Some things you’ll need are as follows: sodium bromide packets to initially get started, bromine tablets, shock (chlorine initially activates bromine), PH Decreaser/Increaser, and Alkalinity Decreaser/Increaser. The last 2 will be dependent on the type of water you have. We have city water and have only ever needed PH Decreaser and Alkalinity Increaser. My in-laws are on well water and have only ever needed the opposite. You’ll also need a small chemical floater for the Bromine Tablets (the tablets are too large to fit in the basket on the Saluspa) and of course test strips, and a skimmer of some sort (we got a bug net from the dollar tree to skim debris out of the water and it has work very well). Some other things I’d recommend are putting down foam tiles underneath the spa for extra comfort, a scum boat to absorb body oils and reduce foam, and a spa light. We found a floating light and Bluetooth speaker here on Amazon, however Bestway (another producer of Saluspas has a website full of fun accessories you can purchase for your spa. Headrests, lights, fountains, etc). Happy floating! This purchase was one of the best things we’ve ever bought! So happy to have it!

Embracing Man-Made Nature: My Healing Journey Through Yoga and Pilates in My Homemade Hot Spring The journey to healing is a deeply personal and transformative experience, one that is never linear, but full of discovery, growth, and self-compassion. For me, it has been a winding path of reconnecting with both my inner self and the natural world around me. It's a journey that has led me to a unique practice, one that brings together my interest in fitness, and the therapeutic powers of nature, all within the comforting embrace of my very own homemade hot spring. Every morning, I step into the serene warmth of my hot spring, a man-made haven I’ve carefully crafted as a space for healing, reflection, and deep connection with my body. As the steam rises, I am reminded of the transformative power of water—how it can soothe, cleanse, and renew. The heat gently relaxes my muscles, allowing me to slip deeper into each stretch and breath as I flow through my yoga poses and Pilates movements. What I love most about this practice is the intuitive nature of it. There are no rigid schedules, no perfect routines to follow. Instead, I allow my body and mind to guide me, listening to what I need in the moment. Some days, my body craves deep stretches, flowing into poses like downward dog or child’s pose, letting the warmth of the water support me. On other days, it asks for something more active—a Pilates workout that engages my core and strengthens my muscles, all while the water’s buoyancy offers support and relief. This intuitive approach to my workouts has been a form of healing in itself. It has taught me the importance of listening to my body, of tuning out the noise of the world around me, and of being present in the moment. The hot spring, with its soft bubbles and gentle warmth, is the perfect environment to foster this kind of connection. It encourages me to slow down, to be mindful of each movement, and to let go of any tension or expectation. But the healing goes beyond just the physical. There is a spiritual aspect to my practice that is nurtured in the quiet solitude of the morning. The steam that rises from the water feels almost magical, as though it is carrying away any lingering negativity, leaving me with a sense of calm and clarity. I feel connected not only to my body but to something greater—the energy of the earth, the cycles of nature, and the wisdom of the universe. This is why I call it "man-made nature." While the hot spring is a creation of my own design, it mirrors the natural processes of rejuvenation, renewal, and balance found in the world around us. As I move through my yoga and Pilates practice each day, I am reminded of the importance of self-care and self-love. This healing space I’ve cultivated isn’t just about physical wellness; it’s about emotional and mental well-being, too. It’s about embracing who I am, acknowledging my growth, and honoring my healing process. The gentle flow of the water, the warmth that envelops me, and the rhythms of my breath all contribute to a profound sense of peace, helping me release any lingering stress or negative energy from the day before. In the quiet of the morning, with the soft sounds of water and breath, I am reminded of the importance of slowing down and allowing space for healing. We often rush through life, caught up in the demands of the world, but this practice has taught me the power of pausing—of taking a moment to be still, to connect, and to renew. And as I continue on my journey, I carry this lesson with me, trusting in the process of healing, and embracing the beauty of both man-made and natural wonders alike. For anyone on their own healing journey, I encourage you to find a space—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—where you can slow down and listen to your body. It doesn’t have to be a hot spring or a specific workout routine. What matters is finding a place of peace and connection that nurtures your soul. For me, that place is my homemade hot spring, and every morning, it becomes a sanctuary where I can heal, reflect, and grow. Healing is not a destination but a lifelong journey, and with each breath, each movement, and each moment of connection, I continue to embrace the process with love and gratitude.

Not worth the Money
I bought this product on Black Friday because I was looking for a hot tub and heard good things. I would agree that it is easy to set up, but I would not call This a hot tub. I live in Arizona where it only gets down to 40 or 50° in the winter and it took me three days to heat up this hot tub to 90°. I got a call from my electric company saying that was unusual high amount of electricity usage, which I didn’t think about. It took me five days to heat this thing up to over 95° and it never went any higher. The heater on this is terrible And it takes forever to heat up. I will be using this as a cold plunge because right now it’s January and it’s 50° and it would take me a week and a half to heat it up to over 90 and my electric bill would be through the roof. I would not recommend this product to anybody looking for a legitimate hot tub. I will be using this as a cold plunge only because of the high electrical usage that they don’t tell you about and the fact that the heater in this product is below par terrible if I have to put it bluntly. It wasn’t worth the money I spent on it. I would not recommend anybody wasting their money on this at all.

Love it, but get the warranty for the pump/heater!
Bought the tub April 16, 2025. Worked great for one season. Comfortably fit 4 people, the pad on the bottom made it so you couldn't feel the surface below (a concrete patio) and the bubbles are rigorous and feel great. We bought it to see if we wanted to step-up to a "real" hot tub and liked it so much that we decided to stick with it. We disassembled it in the fall, dried it out, drained the pump and stored it in the garage for the winter and away from the elements. Set it back up and filled it at the end of April 2026... The bladder insert for the lid no longer holds air and needs replaced, but the main tub is still rigid and in great shape. Turned on the pump and heater and it worked for about a week, but then the heater stopped working. The pump circulates but no heat... no good for a HOT tub. I was literally two weeks past the one-year warranty for the pump (even though I hadn't used it for the past 5 months... so it only had 7 months of use, but it is what it is). I called customer service, which is actually Bestway USA. (NOTE: This product is branded Coleman and Saluspa, nowhere is Bestway USA mentioned, so when doing your research, be sure to look up Bestway USA for their product and business satisfaction ratings). They were not sympathetic and are forcing me to buy both a new pump and a new cover (full price, no discount or relief in any way). Total cost of $322.98 before taxes. $269.99 for the pump and $52.99 for the inflatable cover insert (which I have to buy separately since Bestway USA was out of stock). I have NOT decided if I'm going to purchase the replacement parts yet or not... I'm researching and weighing my options. I'm fine with the cover insert. They're thin and cheap and I expect to replace it (probably every year). But the pump should last multiple years. Especially when properly cared for. Give me at least three-four seasons before a properly maintained pump craps out... I feel like that's reasonable. Even though this is an inexpensive alternative to purchasing a "real" hot tub/spa, the true cost of operation is seems to be a new pump and cover insert... about $350 this year. Probably more next year. UPDATE: I got a call back from Bestway USA customer service. After further discussion, they decided to replace the pump under warranty. I only had to pay the shipping. I still have no problem with paying for the cover insert because I sort of expected it wouldn’t last because it was sort of like a cheap pool lounger that you buy from the dollar store (thin material) but the rest of it is thick material with solid seams. No issues. Only recommendation I would make is to buy the extended warranty for 2-3 years. It’s well worth it. Otherwise, we’re really happy with this hot tub/spa and plan to stick with it. Gives us all the vibes of the “real” thing with 1/10th or 1/15 the cost.

Pretty good tub
I'm three days into using it, and the tub is perfect for my needs. Setup was quite easy, though I would have appreciated instructions on required chemicals. A bit of additional searching on the internet provided the basics. Water pump flow is a bit weak, but I imagine that's due to the low capacity of the heater. I also decided to add thick rubber floor tiles under the tub for extra padding. Probably not necessary, but as you are sitting on the floor it does make it a bit more comfy. The water pump is very quiet if you're just looking to have a relaxing soak. Crank on the bubble jets, and your tired muscles will get an adequate pounding. As for size, the tub is pretty darn big. You can get 5-6 people in it if you sit cross-legged, but only 3-4 if you plan to stretch out. I am taking off one star for their wireless setup. When you set up your account, be sure to opt in for marketing emails. Otherwise, you won't receive your account confirmation email! Yeah, fire that programmer. Even after I got past that hurdle, it still refuses to connect my network. I'll eventually bend it to my will, but I'm in no hurry to enable the wireless option. It's easy enough to control through the panel on the pump. All-in-all, this was a good purchase. Recommended.
