Quality bass strings good price
Quality strings great price probably better than ernie ball.although both quality.

swapped from ernie balls as the last couple of packs i had rusted up and i realised they no longer nickel wind them they nickel coat them so soon as that nickel coating wears they rust, so far these strings have been excellent beautiful tone feel great and no rust as yet as these are actually nickel wound with a corrosion protection added so ernie has lost a long term customer for cheaping out these strings are 100% worth every penny i will try the NYXL's next but these strings are excellent value also, will update this as my tests of these strings progress but so far i am impressed

D'Addario EXL170 45-60-80-100 Nickel Wound Just put these strings on a standard scale 34" Ibanez GSR180 Bass Easy to fit. Colour co-ordinated for ease E-A-D-G Sound bright and punchy.

I've been a long time user of D'Addario guitar strings and will continue to be. These felt and sounded terrific as soon as I put them on my bass. One of the things I like most about D'Aaddario strings is that they last a long time. And even though I mostly play 6 string lead guitar, and I do a lot of aggressive string bending, they have not broken on me either. That's less of a problem/concern for bass playing but it says a lot about the quality and reliabilty of D'Addario products. If this sounds like an ad, I guess I can't help that--I really call it as it is.

Don’t overcomplicate things by trying dozens of different strings. These D’Addarios are exactly what you need: solid tone and consistent quality. The durability is excellent, and they stay bright for a long time. You don't need to spend more to get a professional sound. Truly a reliable workhorse for any bass player.
