Im confused-1 answer says it needs batteries, and one answer says it doesn't need batteries. So which is it?

The watch pops out of the band. Hard to see it has a battery without peeking under the band. There are 4 tiny, tiny screws to remove to get to the battery. if you don't have an eyeglass sized screwdriver you can use the edge of a single edged razor blade. If you have to pay someone to replace the battery it may be cheaper to buy another watch.
