Fantastically comfortable
This chair has been a godsend to my wife during pregnancy as a comfortable seat that she is able to get up from with relative ease, particularly during the later months.Made from real wood (not chipboard with veneer, this assembles easily following the supplied instructions and with minimal tools, to make a very nice piece of furniture. That it includes the glider footstool at this prices as well is incredible. We bought the version with the brake, which arrived as a separate package a few days after the main chair had arrived and been assembled. The brake still hasn't been fitted and I don't think it ever will be, it just isn't necessary. The glider mechanism is easy enough to get moving and very smooth but not so sensitive that you can't control it. The cushions are comfortable without being too soft, the arm rests have pockets in the sides for a magazine, newspaper, remote control etc. The cushion covers are a nice soft-feel finish which does look like it will pick up dirt easily, but so far has remained surprisingly clean. If they do get too dirty the covers are removable so can be washed. The adjustable back, while looking a bit rickety during construction seems to work well enough and keeps its position securely. All in all, a fantastic piece of kit, but think as to whether or not you REALLY need the brake... you can save yourself 20quid.

Lovely product, quick delivery
Love this chair so happy we got it. Great for cuddles before bed, reading stories, and god-send for late night wake ups (great with a big blanket)like that it reclines to different levels.also like the lock option.Dislikes:Not great for breastfeeding due to lack of elbow room.Covers while removable are sponge clean only.

very pleased!
I'm delighted with my purchase. First of all about the seller: the item was delivered extremely promptly, we ordered it on Sunday the 18th of November and it arrived on Tuesday the 20th of November while the estimated delivery was from the 22nd to the 26th! Communication with the seller was very prompt also so I can't fault them. The item itself looks very good quality, the wood is solid and strong and I'm sure it will last many years to come. The chair is EXTREMELY comfortable, so much so that you don't want to get up again. Feels like heaven for my poor 8-month-pregnant sore back. I still can't comment on nursing as I'm still pregnant or on washing the covers as I have just sat on it the first time today so the covers still don't need washing :)My husband is no carpenter, this was the first "complicated" piece of furniture he was putting on on his own, and he's done an excellent job without too much aggravation. The gliding mechanism is very quiet you really can't hear it moving which will be really good with a sleeping baby. The instructions were not too difficult to follow. As I said, very happy, can't wait to have Baby here and start using it to nurse him :)

Not the best
Got this chair to nurse my baby. Now that I've used it a month, it has some seriously loud squeaks, even the footstool squeaks when you rock.It says washable covers but when you look at the washing instructions it isn't suitable for washing. The cushions are relatively thin so even though comfy now, they are already squishing down so not sure how long they'll last. The back cushion could do with being more sturdy as it sort of flattens and squishes down the chair. The recline feature is faffy as you have to use two hands to operate, when you're holding a baby at the same time it's really difficult to use.The arms could do with being movable up and down, but as they are fixed I'm finding that as my baby is growing it's very difficult to hold and feed her with the arms in the way. Besides that it's quite a thin chair.Assembling wasn't that easy as it has so many bits, and shoving the cushions inside their covers was annoying and hard work.Postiives - rocking is nice (if it didn't squeak). Like the recline feature as it's nice to lie back slightly with baby once fed. I would probably really struggle to feed baby in another chair, so this chair is better than nothing.

Great value gliding chair
I bought this after giving birth to my 3rd baby and wish that I'd had it for the previous two! The chair is so comfortable - especially with the footstool I have to admit that I had reservations when the package arrived and I saw just how much of it needed to be put together, however, the instructions made perfect sense and it turned out that the complex bits of the chair had already been assembled. I put it together on my own in around an hour without any hitches.I have not tried to wash the upholstery yet but it looks like it should be pretty easy to do. The glider mechanism is silent and it is handy that the gliding can be locked for safety reasons. It reclines easily by lifting the armrests (like a sunlounger). I think that this chair is great value for money. Yes, there will be better, more expensive chairs on the market but for just over £100 you can have a perfectly functioning, comfortable chair and not be too worried about children/babies making it messy. I would recommend this chair - I just wish that I'd bought one 5 years ago.

Best maternity buy I've made so far!
Fantastic chair, super comfortable and perfect for resting whilst pregnant and breastfeeding. Footstool is brilliant as it allows you to rest weary and swollen legs and because it rocks too it feels very calming and comfortable. Love the fact you can stop the chair rocking (some other chairs don't have this function) which is useful when you need to get out of the chair. Was worried it wouldn't fit my bottom as have a very big one but it was very roomy and you can also push the cushion at the back up slightly to allow for more room. Pockets down the side are useful as is the fact you can wash the covers (not tried yet but I know I will in time). Husband assembled this in no time at all, clear instructions and easy to assemble. Best maternity buy I've made so far!
