This is bright for a night light. I have two problems with it besides the bright light. 1. The base is exposed when screwed into my lamps. That isn't a problem unless your socket is wired wrong, then you will have 120 volts exposed for little (and not so little) fingers to touch. 2. It may work with a dimmer, I don't have one, but it won't with a dusk-to-dawn candle. It just flickers.

Severe Strobing
Horrible tracers. It's basically just a tiny strobe light. I'd be willing to bet it could cause migraines and seizures for those who have light sensitivity issues.

It works okay! Not quite dimmable.
It worked great in my salt lamp, but it's not quite dimmable, and only 5W Replacement (50 lumen).
