De'Longhi 5513214601 Cappuccino Glasses, 270 milliliters

As the title states, these glasses are not for pouring. The edges are too rounded and the espresso dribbles over the side really easily. These glasses are meant for drinking your espresso out of. That was a misconception on my part. Also, there are many reviews that say that these break or crack very easily and I believe them even though It hasn’t happen to me yet. I believe this is the case because they failed to properly warm the glass before extracting or pouring espresso into them. My Breville machine that I have has a heat rack and my glasses stay on that rack which allows them to heat up before usage. This is very important to do with glass in general as glass expands and contracts with temperature. Any overly drastic changes in temperature with glass will cause it to crack or shatter depending on the type of glass. I recommend pouring some luke warm water over the glass from the sink before extracting or pouring hot espresso into them. Other reviewers report leaks in their glasses and I believe them as well. These are not the highest quality double walled glasses you can buy and you get what you pay for. Glass blowing is a difficult process and if not done right, the end product will have issues. Also these glasses are not made from the best quality glass. The glass is very fragile and thin which is prone to have issues like cracking and leaking. If you want to bypass this issue, perhaps go and buy more expensive ones from a more notable manufacturer. Don’t just go for double walled. Go for double walled and thick glass. Nevertheless, I enjoy my glasses and they work very well when my expectations match the price of them. ;)

My son and his family were visiting over the July 4th weekend and my son brought his espresso machine with his special cups and coffee for he and my husband to enjoy. Long story short, my husband broke both of the cups! Shattered them on the kitchen floor. We felt so awful. But the next day I ordered this replacement for my son. I'm not that tech savvy so I accidentally ordered twice! When I realized it, unbeknownst to me, this was the shipping date. I sent an email to the seller and they responded quickly. One of the orders had already shipped but they were able to run out to the truck before it left and pull it from the truck! Did you see that!! THEY RAN OUT TO THE TRUCK AND PULLED IT OFF FOR ME! And then they issued me a credit! Talk about CUSTOMER SERVICE! I'm sorry folks but you just don't find that too often anymore. They could have easily said, "sorry, it's already gone!" But they went the extra mile to help me out. The cups are great! My son absolutely loves them. But this review is more for the seller for their incredible customer service! Thank you again for your help!!

These espresso cups are great! Perfect size and shape. Some cups are more narrow at the opening, but these are wonderful for our machine (we don’t have to worry about our dispenser missing the cup). The double wall has a thick area- you do not feel any heat at all! Cups feel like they are high quality and comfortable to drink from. We have looked at another cups that feel very fragile - but these have been the best we have found so far! Very happy!

High quality glasses. I learned that the “hole” on the bottom is in every double walled glass because it is part of the glass blowing process and should be closed when complete, which they are. The air gap inside keeps the glass a comfortable temperature when hot espresso is inside. The round inner shape looks cool, like the espresso is floating. I only found one defect, which is a spec of something inside the double wall which I circled in my last picture, hence the four stars. I originally ordered JoyJolt glasses which had a glass patch on one of the holes, and these De’Longhi’s are noticeably nicer. Overall happy with my purchase. I would prefer unbranded, but the logo looks nice. These are 3 oz and have plenty of room for a double shot. They are fairly light and feel fancy. The glass is fairly thin, so they have to be handled with care, but are pretty durable. I was washing dishes and dropped a plate in the sink that slid and hit the espresso glasses forcefully, and they did not break.
