This item is as described and provides adequate heat relief. I can’t speak to much about its longevity because I just purchased it however I will say it’s of good quality.

I should have returned but was so desperate for back relief after my Sunbeam finally stopped working after two plus solid yrs of daily use. Due to finances, I settled for this one and the second night using it I instantly regretted settling for cheap! The button you push to turn on is very unpredictable in that it doesnt want to work at all cuz once pushed it squishes way in and hence doesnt allow you to proceed in turning up heat settings. I found a few rigged tricks in order to get it to even start up. The other bad thing is that more ofton than not, it simply stops... goes dead for no reason at different intervals( no particular order either). I should have returned it but due to covid and all I felt it's not right after using it a dozen times. My plan is to just order another Sunbeam, or Sharper image. Until then I will just allow my granddaughter to use it on her visits here since I need not worry bout her burning her skin or getting left on unattended for more than ten minutes... MAX. Just remember, in this instance, esp... you get want you pay for. So, I recomend not wasting one's time or money on this cheap version. The only other thought is that it would be a good choice if looking to order for a pet needing mild heat; (at very short intervals)... temporarily.
