Q: What type of tool to you put this into a router, a drill, seems too much for a dremel, even if you could find a collette?

The 1/4" shaft Rotary Burrs, are meant for Die Grinders, or Flex-Shaft hand pieces with a 1/4" collet or adjustable chuck.

Sorry Tommy, this is a 1/4" shaft and the biggest burr that the Dremel will take is 1/8". If you have already bought this burr send it back to Amazon and replace it with an 1/8" shaft. Kutzall make the flame in extra coarse 1/8" but be extra careful. This thing will rip through your fingers very quickly. Make sure you have no clothing to get caught up or around your carving area. It will grab the material and snap your shaft. Don't drop it in your lap because you will find it quite painful. Good luck.

Q: Can it be used with a drill instead of a die grinder?

For DIY applications, Kutzall Burrs will remove material at lower speeds (hand drills, drill presses, etc.) but both material-removal rate and control improve as speed increases. Recommended operating speed range is 10,000 - 25,000 RPM.
