High quality, suede-like leather, snug fit, easy to pick up with arthritic fingers
SIX-MONTH FOLLOW UP:I'm very glad I bought this case over a plastic or silicone one. First of all, the fit is snug and precise. In fact, I hope I never have to take my phone out of this case, because I don't think I could do so without doing damage to it or the phone (HYPERBOLE - while it IS hard to get out of the case, and it feels like you're going to need to get medieval, it eventually comes off. I just hope I don't have to do it too often.I'm usually not a fan of having to use the buttons that are integrated into a case, because they make the buttons harder to press, IMO. The buttons of this case are hard plastic or metal (I'm not sure which). I've had the case for ~ 6 months and the buttons feel just like the iPhone's real buttons.I have stiff, arthritic and "slippery" fingers, and find it very hard to pick up small objects or flat objects like a mobile phone. With the Apple leather case I had for my previous phone, the edges were rounded-off (because the phone's edges were rounded-off). I sometimes had trouble picking the phone up. I even tried to rough-up the leather on the sides, to make it easier to grip. All that did was make it look scraped-up. This case has a suede-like finish, which also makes it easier and safer to handle. The leather seems to be of a good quality. I wasn't happy with how "lightly colored" it was, at first, but figured it would darken over time, without my having to do anything, and it has. It reminds me of an old baseball glove I used to have. I had to oil the heck out of it to soften the leather so my weak little hands could make it close. That old glove took on a beautiful, deep brown color, and that's what's happening to this case, even without slopping glove oil all over it. Since the leather isn't slick, it doesn't seem to slip out of my back pocket as easily as some cases I've had. I'm going to get a "Mag-Safe" bedside stand, so it'll be a test of whether the phone will be able to charge. So, if you have arthritic or slippery fingers and normally hate the side buttons on phone cases, but you like the feel of soft leather in a (very) snuggly-fitting case, this would be a good choice. I'm not easily impressed with phone cases, but this one is an easy 5-Star rating.12-Month Follow-UpThe buttons I mentioned in my 6-month follow-up ARE metal, not plastic. I got a Mag-Safe charger by Anker and use the Standby function in the phone to use my phone as a bedside clock/alarm. The magnet in the charger holds on well to this case, even though it is fairly thick leather. After almost a year of taking my phone out and putting it back in for various reasons, this case is finally being retired. See the photos. The place it broke has always been the weak spot in the case, I knew that WHEN the case "passed-on", that's what would happen. But every case I've ever bought has a weak spot. Now, 11 months might not seem very long for a phone case, but the case still looks very good. The leather has turned a deeper brown/tan color and any scratches I've put on it disappear like magic. One time, I fixed a scratch using the oils from my face. Sounds gross, but it worked. I just ordered a new case from this company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.FOLLOW-UP to the 12-month follow-up for my old brown Belemay case. I just got my new Belemay case today and wanted to give it a different review, but Amazon won’t let me. So I’ll just append it to this 6-month review.I assume it will be just like my old one, but in a different color. I got it in what I thought was a dark gray, but it’s more black than I thought it would be. It came in a (totally un-reusable but very nice) little box, wrapped in a soft-ish fabric bag. Curiously, the box also contained a 1” square piece of either the same type of leather as the case, or some other similar material. That piece was in its own plastic bag, which measured 2¼ by 1½”, that even had a zip-lock-type closure. I have no idea what it IS much less what its function would be. But I figure there must be a good reason the manufacturer spent the money to include it with the case. If anybody figures it out, please let me know. Bottom line is that I really like this case and have NO concerns about recommending it to anyone who likes an “upscale-looking” leather case that fits the iPhone snugly and perfectly. Even though it may seem pricey, my first one lasted thru 12 months of use. It’s not slippery and helps people who have arthritis pick it up easier. Did I mention previously that the square bezel that surrounds the rear camera lenses is made of metal, and is raised just enough to protect your lenses from the scratches they would probably get otherwise. Great case.

The case that beat out the expensive big brands.
If you're looking for a good looking, well fitting, and nice smelling leather case for your iphone, this one is hard to beat. This case fits my 15 pro max well- it gives a nice *snap* sound when you put it in, and there is little to no give along the sides once it's on, so you don't have to worry about the phone falling out during normal height drops. The buttons are metal and clicky, and stick out enough so they're easy to use without looking. There's enough of a lip on the face and around the camera's that none of your phone will be touching the surface you lay this down on. The cables I have plug in without a problem, and the cut outs for the speakers are great. And the magnets on the back are nice and strong- it has zero problems staying on my magnetic car vent mount all the time. The only thing I would change would be to have a slightly darker brown color available, but I'm sure that will come when the patina starts to happen. Oh, and the leather is smooth, but not like other cases where it's like the have a thin layer of oil or plastic on them, so it's not slippery. It's actually quite grippy for a leather case, which I really like. Best of all, it actually smells like leather. I bought 2 other top rated cases based on reviews on youtube where those were supposed to smell soooo much like leather, but neither did. (I'm lookin at you, Andar and Bullstrap.) So don't bother wasting your money on those IF you want a 15 pro max case that actually smells like leather. Get this one, and save some money. EDIT- I did find one of my USB-C cable heads to be too big to fit into this case, but it was an older cable, and the newer ones I got on Amazon do fit ok.

Good Buttons and Fit
The media could not be loaded. Impressions of the “Belemay Compatible with iPhone 15 Pro Max Leather Case Magsafe-…”Pro: Excellent MagSafe support (see video); It does seem like leather; Fits very nicely; Good feel; Buttons (including an Action button) have a very nice feel; A cut above most Amazon “Acme” cases; I like the value proposition.Con: $30 would be great; Quality control is good - not great; Some might like an open bottom cutout. (No real negatives.)I really wanted a case from London but the price tag burned my eyes. The Belemay was the Amazon 'Acme' case that checked most of my boxes without breaking the (my) bank. The leather (I presume) feels good but concern was generated by the 'sample' material included in my retail package - the sample sure didn't seem like leather IMO. Besides the leather, I have other criteria:- Leather - Reuse/recycle the cow. Yes, please use the leather if you kill the cow for meat;- I'm not buying an iPhone case in 2023 without MagSafe support;- Build quality should not bother me over time;- I DON'T want my phone falling out of the case easily;- I DON'T want my case damaging my phone;- Good buttons for all the button functions please;- I want my lens cover accessory to fit and work properly with my case;- Does it feel good?- Can my USB C cables work properly with the case cutouts? This Belemay case clicked all of my boxes except (maybe) the last one.* It sure seems, smells and feels like cow hide. The case is certainly a solid physical fit on my phone. My lens cap works well with the case. I am almost 100% certain the case will not come off the phone or damage it - unless it damages the phone trying to get it off. (Case has a firm grip on the phone) About build quality - the Belemay is not without its flaws. (See close-up picture of the camera cutout from the inside of the case)*I don't know about all of my USB C cables yet because the MagSafe is good enough that I don't need to use them.I recommend this case if you can swing $37 but not the $70 of some of the named brands.
